This article seems to lack objective tone and neutral point of view. Anyways in which it can be improved? Nvalley (talk) 18:36, 22 September 2008 (UTC) I read through the article today, January 31, 2021, and didn't have any concerns about its neutrality, or neutral tone. It seemed fairly neutral to me. What DID concern me, however, is that there is no mention anywhere on Donal Logue's recurring role as an assistant district attorney on the television series The Practice, even though he's credited on the series in the guest starring credits at the beginning of each episode he has appeared on. I don't remember his character's name, although I could do some research and might be able to find it. It's Ricky something. The reason I am even checking Wikipedia regarding Donal was to see if Karina Logue was related to him. She is one of his three sisters, but, I also noticed, there's no link, for her, to a Wikipedia page about Karina, and, she also appeared in the episode of The Practice I just watched on Hulu, as an unnamed receptionist, with Donal again playing an ADA. I don't even know if she had any lines, and, while she was mentioned in the credits, they were at the end of the episode, and her name was last on the credits list. So it seems likely it was a non-speaking role. But, because Logue is not a common last name in the acting community, I figured she had to be related, which, as I mentioned, she is. She's his sister. But, I would think she'd be entitled to even a short Wikipedia page, since it seems likely she has her Screen Actors Guild card, or earned herself one for that role, if it was her first. In any case, I should think those two things should be updated in the entry on Donal Logue, and it seems fair that his sister, Karina Logue, should be given a Wikipedia page as well. Even if the role was non-speaking, and even if she has since decided not to pursue an acting career, it still seems like she deserves at least a brief Wikipedia page, if only to mention that role, however small or insignificant. Unless she DID have a page she herself actually removed from Wikipedia. Thanks in advance for your attention to these matters regarding Donal and Karina Logue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.126.190.47 (talk) 21:14, 31 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Nationality? edit

I know these things are a minefield, because self-identification, parental nationality, and other factors can make things difficult to pin down, but the article is a bit confusing. It says he is a Canadian-born Irish actor, and born in Ottawa, but then makes it seem as if he and his siblings were born in the period his parents were in England, after coming back from Africa - it doesn’t actually state at what point they relocated to Canada. Presumably, this was before his birth, but the article doesn’t specify. Jock123 (talk) 18:07, 15 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yep, minefields indeed. He was born in Canada to parents from the Republic of Ireland. That makes him a citizen by birth of Canada and citizen by the descent of Ireland. My impression is that he's lived nearly his entire life in the United States. His acting career and business interests are all U.S.-based. I would suggest editing the intro and adding his citizenship to the infobox.

Birthdate edit

To the anon IP who claimed that Donal Logue's Facebook page gives his brith year as 1966: Here is his verified Facebook page. It does not give a year at all: https://www.facebook.com/pg/dlogue.official/about/?ref=page_internal. --Tenebrae (talk) 18:12, 3 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have just updated the birthdate to 1966 and switched the citation. The article subject contacted OTRS with identity verified (ticket:2021041010007347, for those with access) and indicated that the Yahoo! Movies article was incorrect and provided an alternate source. Please don't use the Yahoo! Movies source to change it back to 1965. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 17:30, 12 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Does this mean that Karina Logue wasn't born on 24 February 1966 as claimed by User:Shiftypickle? Are they twins both born on the 27th? Pelagicmessages ) – (08:52 Wed 14, AEDT) 21:52, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
It is possible for twins to have dates of birth differing by one day, if one was born just before midnight and one just after. Mjroots (talk) 18:32, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ignore my last post, misread the question.   Mjroots (talk) 18:33, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Update: I just saw Special:Diff/453391746. According to Mr Logue, they are twins. Fandom currently has Karina's birthdate as the 27th (not 24th) and I didn’t find any reliable sources that mention her date of birth at all. Pelagicmessages ) – (07:09 Thu 15, AEDT) 20:09, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Side note: I added the incorrect date to Wikidata with Deprecated rank, which is how WD flags facts that are published but wrong. They already had the right date, with different ref's (things like iMDB are acceptable there). Also added the Yahoo Movies and Farmer's Almanac references against the applicable dates.
