Official name?
editThe article's gone through a few different titles; I think we need to pick one and stick with it. All the marketing material I've seen refers to the game as "Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes", but as part of a larger "2.0 Edition". Note here and here where they explicitly refer to it as "Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes", without adding any form of "2.0" as part of the proper title. Therefore, I propose we move the page back to "Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes" for the time being; if it becomes clear that this does not reflect the game's final title, we can change it at the appropriate time. -- 136.181.195.25 (talk) 18:43, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
- It seems as if the game goes by multiple titles, at this moment. In promotional box art (coverart has not been revealed yet) the game features a "2.0 Edition" banner [1]. Marvel Super Heroes is also featured on the boxart. However it seems as if Marvel Super Heroes is a theme within Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition, and the game is not called that. In one of the videos, John Vignocchi (who is part of the Disney Infinity team) called the game "Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes" and I believe at one point called the game "Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition." The announcement video calls the game Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition), suggesting the game has two titles. I think maybe we should stick to 2.0 Edition since the game not only features Marvel characters, but also Disney characters. All trailers have referred to the game as Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition. During the editing process I will switch to "Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes" for the time being but I don't know if it will be the official and appropriate title. I guess we will just have to wait for Disney to pick a title. --WikiEditor44 (talk) 17:34, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, we have a definitive answer. Vignocchi spells it out explicitly in this video as "Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition)". This is the best answer we have so far, so I say we stick with it. -- 136.181.195.25 (talk) 18:46, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes → Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) – This is the game's official title, as explicitly spelled out by John Vignocchi, the game's executive producer, in this interview. Furthermore, given how many titles this article has gone through, it may also be wise to move-protect it until at least release, lest we go through this same rigmarole all over again in the near future. --Relisted. Character - Table vs Prose
editI think a table would be super helpful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.230.252.204 (talk) 02:32, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- I agree, the table that was already used as well as the one currently used in the Disney Infinity 1.0 article are far more helpful to the average person visiting Wikipedia as well as providing a much more clear and concise view of which characters are in the game. It also provides a more organized layout. I propose we return to the previous set up with the table. -Orcson11 — Preceding undated comment added 04:15, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
- Well, since no one posted an objection in almost two months, I went ahead and did it. That should cover things for a while. -- 136.181.195.25 (talk) 15:49, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
Also known as...
editI've just removed "(also known as Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition, Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes and Disney Infinity 2)". If the game actually has another name in another region, then it can be added of course (and sourced!), but unofficial titles or how gamers might call it aren't necessary. See WP:NCVG. --Soetermans. Tables
editHi @Matt14451:
How is that "additional content", as all content is available separately already? In the Characters section, it specifically mentions playsets from The Avengers, Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy. The Toybox expansions can be better put into the character sections then, to avoid this redundancy. (also point out to Disney Infinity 3.0, which you've edited too, is WP:OTHERSTUFF) --Soetermans.
