I now see that people have flooded the edit request for changes and the tempers are quite high; given that, I think this addition -- on a new line in the section regarding his career after serving as Governor General -- is fair and unbiased:
Amid fierce criticism by opposition parties regarding Johnston's appointment as special rapporteur, citing Johnston's relationship with the Trudeau family and the Trudeau Foundation as constituting a conflict of interest, Johnston submitted a letter of resignation on June 9, 2023.[1]

David Johnston submitted his resignation letter and of course there’s no mention of it at all. Good job. Completely biased 208.93.10.206 (talk) 23:30, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
