Infobox and lede edit

  • "in his debut on September 1." → "in his September 1 debut."
  • "roster as the team" → "roster when the team"

Early life and education edit

  • "signing when the Milwaukee Brewers" → "signing with the Milwaukee Brewers, who"

Professional career edit

  • You already know what I'm going to say here (put the year ranges in each of these subheads)

Milwaukee Brewers edit

  • Should probably read Brewers organization, since he didn't play in the majors for them
  • "Class A-advanced" → "Class A-Advanced" with the WL
  • "Hammond in exchange for Ray Durham"

San Francisco Giants edit

  • Specify that San Jose is still Class A-Advanced
  • While I know what you mean, "Ford was called up for the first time" feels a little disingenuous since he was procedurally added to the roster last season
  • "that got only" → "that landed only"
  • "Class AAA" → "Triple-A" for consistency
  • Link AZL Giants

Seattle Mariners organization edit

  • "signed him" → "signed Ford"
  • I'd either swap the slashes for commas and spaces, or say ".273/.326/.385 slash line"
    • I know it looks a little odd the way I've phrased it, and baseball fans will scoff at the obviousness of the explanation. However, I think this makes it easier for those less familiar with the slash line to figure out what it means. If they know the meaning of those terms, then they can tell what they are from just this article, without having to click another link. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 03:18, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Link Venezuelan Winter League

Pittsburgh Pirates organization edit

  • "Pirates. He played with the" → "Pirates, where he was assigned to the"

Return to the Giants organization edit

  • "Ford was carted off the field after a collision with the left field wall on April 10, 2014 in a game between Fresno and the Salt Lake Bees while chasing a foul ball in the bottom half of the eighth inning. Suffering a concussion and a sprained neck, he spent three weeks on the disabled list." → "On April 10, during a game between Fresno and the Salt Lake Bees, Ford had to be carted off the field after colliding with the left field wall while chasing a foul ball in the bottom of the eighth inning. He spent three weeks on the disabled list with a concussion and a sprained neck."

Somerset Patriots edit

New Britain Bees edit

  • Cut out "of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball", already says "Atlantic League's New Britain Bees"
  • "With the Bees' announced move to the Futures Collegiate Baseball League for 2020, Ford was drafted by the Atlantic League's High Point Rockers in the Bees dispersal draft." → "When the Bees announced a move to the Futures Collegiate Baseball League for the 2020 season, they held a dispersal draft for players whose rights were controlled by the Atlantic League. During this draft, Ford was taken by the High Point Rockers."
  • "because of the COVID-19 pandemic"
    • Changed to "impact of COVID-19", clarifies that it was the reaction that caused it, not Ford getting it directly. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 03:22, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Career statistics edit

  • "After playing seven games for the Giants in 2010, Ford appeared in 26 for them in 2011." → "Ford played a total of 33 major league games for the Giants: seven in 2010 and 26 in 2011."
  • No comma after "He batted .286"

Legal issues edit

  • Usually these sections go as a subhead under Personal life

Personal life edit

  • ""The Bullet."" → ""The Bullet"." per MOS:LQ

References edit

  • All of the Daily Journal references should have "Vineland, NJ" moved from part of the work to the location parameter"
  • [15] (Giants add four players to 40-man roster) is missing a work or publisher
  • [31] needs to be cleaned up (currently says "Archived copy")
  • This press release should be better than the tweet for [34]

General comments edit

  • Photos are relevant and properly licensed (look at that sad 2010 non-DSLR camera quality)
    • If you want a really bad one, look up Brandon Medders on Wikimedia Commons. The only photo of him with the Diamondbacks is so poor, I didn't even feel it was worth including in his article! Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 03:24, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • No stability concerns in the revision history
  • Earwig score comes up with a mirror site, otherwise fine
