Controller port edit

Our Controller port is not working?

For Crash Bandicoot only? You should try deactivating analog by pressing the analog button after it starts. MIT Trekkie July 2, 2005 21:43 (UTC)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose):   b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
I feel that you should parse down the release information in the lead. For instance, instead of listing every date, you could merely state the regions and year of release for the original and the years of release for the re-releases. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! 2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
As much as I understand that it could prove to be limiting to remove these, I'm not sure that we should be using sources such as Crash Mania. If you could demonstrate a Rubin and Mancell's acknowledgment that these interviews occurred, I imagine that they would be usable; otherwise, I think removal may be the best option. Additionally, I noticed that you use a short paragraph for a single source, and using only Sterling as a source to demonstrate an implication that multiple critics hold this view. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! 3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
The gameplay image uses a fairly redundant rationale; the lead image is for the purpose of illustrating the article. The gameplay image should be said to demonstrate elements of the article, such as its HUD and perspective. The plot image is definitely not usable, as it is purely decorative. The image only serves to show people a scene, and they are not going to have a much greater understanding of what is happening in the scene. There is no critical commentary of the scene, so there really is no good reason to use this image. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! 1. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
I went ahead and fixed all of the cited problems with the article. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 17:50, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Best selling video game? edit

I can't find any WP:RS here that states that this game is among or is the "best selling video games in the United States". Can someone please provide one? If not then I'll remove these claims. Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 21:04, 12 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Misleadingly cites game creator's publicity website as non-biased source. edit

Many of the references are to All-Things-Andy-Gavin.com, which is written and maintained by Andy Gavin (the game's co-creator) as a promotional tool, hence not a neutral source.

Scrapped Traditionally animated FMV opening and ending edit

It was going to have a traditionally animated FMV opening and ending. [1] The theme song to the FMV opening was performed by Jim Cummings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.187.141.214 (talk) 00:46, 19 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Lead section edit

I think the article itself isn't too bad, but the lead section is too short relative to the article's length. The game's premises and reception is there in the lead, but the gameplay and development aren't summarised at all, so therefore the lead needs to be expanded. If anyone can do that, then that would be helpful. – Hounder4 12:52, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Development edit

Would it be a good idea to split the development section into its own article? It's really, really big..... JOEBRO64 21:39, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

At 2,400 words, I wouldn't say it's too big, and the article itself is under 50,000 bytes, so I don't think it needs splitting too badly. – Rhain 14:07, 12 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
