editThis page is not completely an orphan. I linked the first mention of Conrad on the Robert F. Williams,Refuse & Resist!, and Kissing Case pages.
Conrad represented me and a lot of other young men during the Vietnam war.
He was on the Freedom Rides with a woman on the faculty of the Drew University Seminary. Conrad was afraid to sleep under the same roof with a white woman, but no harm came to him. The Communists sat on the roof with shotguns.
I'll look for references.
