Confusing language
editThe plot section states: "Sally and Luke eventually make love, ... However, she remains loyal to her husband," These two statements are at odds with each other.
Several inaccurate statements contained in this piece
edit"Bruce Gilbert, Jane Fonda’s former baby-sitter, did not “collaborate” with me on a screenplay: I don’t collaborate, and he would not know which end of a pen to hold. Jane Fonda and Bruce Gilbert did not create the story in one of their fantasy movie sessions. I created and wrote the story. They are such poor liars, they can’t even get their years straight. Jane Fonda did not suggest or write a love scene in the picture. I did. Jane and Bruce Gilbert did not screen The Men and The Best Years of Our Lives: I did. Jane fell asleep. She had no film culture. Waldo Salt was not fired because he had a heart attack; Waldo Salt had never written an original screenplay in his life, and faced with the task, he failed. He was drunk. He was drunk at the Writers Guild Awards where he made an ass of himself, and he was drunk at the Academy Awards where his acceptance speech like his script was incomprehensible. He was in over his head. His hollow boast that he would start from scratch ensnared him. He did not have a clue how to start from scratch. The script or treatment or whatever it was he wrote, never completed, reads drunk. I received credit because it was accorded me by the automatic anonymous arbitration process of my union, the Writers Guild of America. "

Fair use rationale for Image:Coming Home poster.jpg
editImage:Coming Home poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The result of the move request was: page moved. If someone will cleanup the links to the old name, I'll move the dab page. Leave a note on my talk page when the links are cleaned up. Vegaswikian (talk) 08:00, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Coming Home → Coming Home (film) — There are approximately 39 other items called "Coming Home" or "Comin' Home" at Coming Home (disambiguation). Thus this article is making quite a large claim to be the most notable of those 39 and I would argue that the sheer number of other subjects with the same name is enough of an argument for the page to be moved to Coming Home (film). -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 22:34, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Roger Ebert rip-off
editSome of the 'plot' section of this article is lifted verbatim from Roger Ebert's review of the film. Is this an ethical use of text without any acknowledgement/reference? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.150.65.159 (talk) 02:09, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Source for Fonda/Kovic connection?
editWhat is the source for the following sentence? I'm having trouble verifying this elsewhere.
"Fonda had in mind to make a film about the Vietnam War inspired by her friendship with Ron Kovic, a paraplegic Vietnam War Veteran, who she met in an antiwar rally."
Bob's accident
editThe plot summary states that Captain Hyde accidentally shot himself in the leg.
Whilst that is Bob's version of events the situation is left deliberately ambiguous for the viewer. He reacts very badly when he thinks that it is suggested by Vi that he did it on purpose. Comments made by him earlier in the film, whilst on leave in HK, suggest that he is not happy about what he is asked to do in Vietnam which is plainly very different from how he imagined it would be before he set off. In the circumstances the plot summary should recognise this ambiguity.
