  • Given this is about classical music, inviting either Gerda Arendt, 4meter4, or our other classical music regulars to pick up this nom for review. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 10:25, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
  •   I am sorry to say but the article is not ready for DYK - it is a translation of a not very good pl wiki article with no improvements. While I'd expect the topic to be notable, the article is very poorly sourced and right now merits a {{notability}} template: 3 out 6 sourcs are government documents, one is a gov't press release, we have a "sales manual", and effectively another press release from "ifcs.pl". Additionally, although this is not a must for DYK, footnotes are poorly formatted (what is said "ifcs.pl"? Dates, publishers, etc. are often missing). Moving on, even if we accept that much of the article is referenced to government documents and press releases, the second half of the article (or rather, 2/3 if not 3/4 of the article) is completely unreferenced, which pretty much kills this as a DYK candidate unless this is fixed. I am tagging this as 'issues to fix', but really, this needs a major rewrite to be DYK-eligible. Please ping me if there are any replies here, TIA. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:55, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
    • Hi, thank you so much for the constructive feedbacks. I will improve the article's sources in accordance with them. Unfortunately, I am not free for the recent two months, and can only improve the article around two months later. Should I resubmit after improving the article, or reply at this discussion section after improving? Thanks.
Unfortunately, given that the article was nominated as a new creation, and only three types of articles (new creation/5x expansion/newly-promoted GAs) can be nominated, it's not as simple as renominating when you're available. Either the article has to be expanded fivefold within seven days, or most practically, be promoted to GA status. I will leave the decision to you and Piotrus, but given the state of the article right now, promotion to GA status might be the only way for the article to appear on DYK in the future. • @Gerda Arendt and 4meter4: Given the state of the article, could either of you two or both work on the article and perhaps address the issues raised by the reviewer? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 09:19, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I have no time today or anytime soon, but thank you for thinking of me. Today, I have to add to an article begun 1 March, because there is no mercy for being late ;) - That is a man, but I also want to write an article about a woman on IWD. Sad to see that no woman made it to DYK today, only the one in disguise. Check my user page today for links to women.
Eleni, Piotrus: you can write an article about someone who performed that year, and mention the year in the hook, and ping me and I'll approve it. The other links in a hook also get attention. That might be easier than bringing it to GA. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:48, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
@ Narutolovehinata5 Thank you for considering me. I do write on classical music topics but an event in Poland I have never heard of isn't really my cup of tea as a topic. Both Gerda and I have our own projects and are committed to collaborative work elsewhere. I have editing commitments to projects at WP:WikiProject Opera, WP:WikiProject Musical Theatre and WP:WikiProject Women in Red for example. I don't think this topic is of much interest to either of us as it doesn't have an editing focus within the various projects we are working. I also don't want to take the time trying to navigate Polish language media and reference works which this article would need in order to be improved. This would be a project best tackled by someone fluent in the Polish language.4meter4 (talk) 18:09, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
  •   Rejecting the nom based on the review by Piotrus and the nominator's response on lack of time. It isn't remotely close to being ready for DYK and the time constraints of the nominator make this a bad candidate for DYK4meter4 (talk) 18:09, 9 March 2024 (UTC).Reply
