Work with Vivid edit

There seems to be a contradiction. The article claims "LaRue now divides her attention between Vivid Video and her own Rascal Video" but soon after states "she left Vivid Video in February 2006 over their change to a 'condom optional' policy." The second statement implies she is no longer with Vivid.

So either she isn't with them and the article is wrong, or she got back with them, which is not clear. If she did return to Vivid, I think the article needs to state why she returned. Did Vivid reverse its condom optional policy to get her back, or did Chi Chi change her mind? Herorev 06:08, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Referred to as he and she edit

She is referred as he in part of the article and she in part of it. The article does state Chi Chi is variously referred to as both "he" and "she" but it shouldn't it be consistent in the article itself. Anybody else have thoughts on the matter?--Dakota 05:32, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, there were only two instances where LaRue was referred to as "he". The first one, which comes in the lead paragraph which precedes the statement about her being referred to as both "he" and "she". I left it because of its proximity to the information about LaRue's real name.
The second instance, in the Awards section, stated, "In addition he directed..."; that one I did change to "she" to be consistent with the rest of the article.
For the most part, the article uses "LaRue" as the personal reference, bypassing the need to choose between "he" and "she".

What's hir gender identity, then? 惑乱 分からん * \)/ (\ (< \) (2 /) /)/ * 12:39, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

For the record, the last time I met him. Larry was definitely a he. Technically he created a stage persona who happens to be a female drag diva. This is little different then when Hollywood actors have a cross dressing actor they play frequently in a show. We don't magically begin from then on referring to that actor by the incorrect gender.Pbmaise (talk) 07:42, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bareback vs condom edit

I shaved the section on this down considerably. It may all well be true, but PLEASE remember that we need to have verifiable information. I kept the sentence I could find a citation for and added the citation. If there is a detailed listing of the actors that are supposedly on the blacklist, then please cite it if you re-add this info. Film Label edit

I ran into a small problem trying to cross link this term. The best I could find was record label. If anyone wants to build a new page...looks like there should be one. Please include labels, Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks. If you know of such a page explaining this concept please correct the cross link I have put on the article. Reminder regarding unfounded statements edit

Today I removed a sentence that inferred that illegal drugs were present on the sets of films shot by this director. I for one have never seen any drugs on a set with Larry. I did see cheeseburgers, and they can destroy a toned body so watch out for these on his sets. If this is a valid topic to be added to this page, please do so with references to prevent liable.Pbmaise (talk) 08:03, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well, if a statement can be supported by credible sources then it should stand the test but that is CREDIBLE that needs to be sustained. Say someone was arrested. Just because one had never been in a situation in which that happened does not mean that it has not occurred. I am not supporting the inclusion of a statement that is speculation; only what can stand the test. Unfortunately, there are people in the world that find it better to make entertainment of the lives of others rather than maintain a standard that as long as something is not coercive, deceptive or injurious then what does it matter what one does. This is not an invitation to open up a ping pong discussion; just leave people be until they step on your toes. Do what I do--wear boots since if any one's toes are to be stepped upon then it certainly will not be mine!Taikomochiyarichin (talk) 09:59, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Drugs edit

In 2015 there was a Facebook campaign to raise funds for Chi Chi LaRue to be able to stay in a very expensive, posh private rehab. The campaign was led by San Francisco Roma Roma and she stated that Chi Chi LaRue was on the verge of dying from addiction. For decades in the news there have been stories about Chi Chi and drugs as well as drugs on her sets and of porn stars who either died or were rushed to the hospital due to doing drugs in her home.
