Photo size
editIs there any way to display the photograph of Fried at a smaller size--it doesn't look optimal due to the low resolution...--152.3.129.3 (talk) 21:31, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
"The law is an ass."
editThe quote actually appears to originate in The Adventures of Oliver Twist:
- 'If the law supposes that,' said Mr. Bumble, squeezing his hat emphatically in both hands, 'the law is a ass—a idiot. If that's the eye of the law, the law is a bachelor; and the worst I wish the law is, that his eye may be opened by experience—by experience.'
While Fried may have said it, he doesn't deserve more credit than pretty much any lawyer in the last 100 years who has. Abb3w (talk) 14:49, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Quotes removed
editI removed a lengthy section of this article listing alleged quotes by Fried. While they might have been amusing, they weren't useful encyclopaedic information; and more importantly, none of them were sourced. (I notice from the history that this section has previously been removed and reinstated. If anyone tries to add it again, they should be reverted unless sources are provided.)
