Photos edit

I have taken the liberty as a ride operator to shoot some photographs of Calaway. I have missed taking a shot of Calaway's Big Tower, perhaps someone else could retreive a picture of that, seeing as it is one of Calaway's main symbols of the park and can be seen from the highway. I hope this will vastly improve the quality of the article. - Jonathan Verge.

Re: "OUT OF SERVICE" edit

This article is not the place to announce that particular rides are being decommissioned, or any other news regarding Calaway Park. Once it has been announced on Calaway Park's website, then you can put the info here and cite it from the website. Sahuagin 15:20, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Land sales ad, listing park before it was a go edit

Someone selling land near to the Flintstone Fun Park, whilst it was still being challenged. -- Zanimum (talk) 02:01, 2 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm missing how that's funny, if I was a business owner I would want land by a new amusement park. 117Avenue (talk) 02:43, 2 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
a.) It was late. At least for me. b.) It wasn't until a few months later that the park was able to get on with things, development wise, and while the locals were running out of options, they still had a fighting chance to stop it. So they're saying near the park, but there's no guarantees that the park would exist; it's basically like an ad in Toronto saying buy land on the TTC's Downtown Relief Line. -- Zanimum (talk) 17:30, 2 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Incidents at the Park edit

Where is a good place to talk about incidents at the park. For example in the early 90s there were two young girls thrown from the Himilaya ride and taken to hospital (maybe died, I don't remember). Somebody else's account of it can be found here: https://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070617005644AA33NOL park officials will deny it happened, for example here: http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/news/city/story.html?id=00c29838-c64a-4527-9dcb-2993a0f8b082. Where should amusement park incidents be documented? 75.159.28.236 (talk) 07:16, 7 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Death of Gordon F. Dixon edit

Gordon F. Dixon, owner of Calaway Park, has since passed https://mhfh.com/tribute/details/38509/Gordon-Dixon/obituary.html

It is unclear who the new owner is. I'm not sure how the page should be modified to reflect this? Cyberboy888 (talk) 23:07, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
