Bridge type edit

This bridge is not a "bowstring arch". It is not a bowstring arch because the steel that forms the curved top does not come all the way down to the bottom.
I found a reliable source (the Institution of Civil Engineers) that define the bridge type as "a single-span open-web girder bridge." This is a very reliable source (it is an engineer defining the bridge type). This source [1] also says the bridge is a "girder" structure.
It probably got the name "Bowstring Bridge" by the locals because of the top of the girder has the "hump" that is typical of the bowstring arch bridge.
Before reverting the bridge type, please provide a very reliable source (that is, an engineering source is better than tourism or history source) - ¢Spender1983 (talk) 01:45, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Are you going to update it? - Denimadept (talk) 16:18, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Whoops, nevermind. Looks like you did. - Denimadept (talk) 16:20, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Subsequent development edit

Subsequent development of the site is not related to the bridge, as I see it. The bridge is gone, its story has ended. - Denimadept (talk) 17:07, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

{{geodata-check}} The following coordinate fixes are needed for Braunstone Gate Bridge. The marker should be at 52°37'54.06"N 1° 8'38.77"W. Its currently about 500 feet off. —98.246.156.76 (talk) 02:22, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Looking at the pointer in Google Maps, it looks spot-on. What's off? Don't be fooled by the "A" pointer, as it's the green arrow that matters. - Denimadept (talk) 04:00, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Not done. Agree that the coordinates in the article are correct. What's more, they're for all practical purposes identical to those suggested by 98.246.156.76. Deor (talk) 10:13, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
