editThis is getting very long and I'm not even to Alma yet! I may have to revise the meaning of "major event". But, for now, I'll continue at about this level of detail.--andersonpd 19:32, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
This article is 39 kbytes as of the end of Fourth Nephi. I'll continue through Mormon, Ether and Moroni, but something needs to be done. A couple of ideas occur to me -- 1) break the article up into sections corresponding to the Small Plates of Nephi, the Large Plates of Nephi and the Plates of Ether. 2) Or simply divide it BC/AD. 3) Or ruthlessly remove information, perhaps moving it to the articles on the individual books. Any advice?--andersonpd 02:46, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Idea: Keep this article. It's great! But also have separate articles such as "Book of Mormon Chronology/Reign of the Judges". Remember, this is the wikipedia, not ldsoss.org. --Jcarroll 20:18, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Jaredite Dates Disputed
editThe entire Jaredite chronology gives dates based on a dead link. Accepting the chronology as true, it still ends about 300 years before it's physically possible, since Coriantumr had to meet Zarahemla, which would've occurred at about 250BC, 300 years off from the calculated Jaredite chronology. Even without that big problem, the entire chronology assigns year spans based on assumptions and guesswork, far from Wikipedia's purpose. Last of all, the actual format isn't pretty, either. I'm in favor of either stripping it down to events without dates, or just eliminating it entirely since dateless events don't work much as a chronology. Slb1900 (talk) 22:52, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

Edit reverted
editI just attempted to correct a typo from the Jaredite record as it indicates that Ethem’s son’s name was Moroni, rather than Moron, as it should have read. After submitting the edit, along with the reference for verification, I received a message saying the edit had been reverted and I should use the sandbox first. Any thoughts?
