Detroit's #20

edit

The article mentions Barry Sanders as a player who wore Detroit's #20 after Billy Sims, but the person who wore that number before Sims didn't do too badly, either: Pro Football Hall of Famer Lem Barney. 147.70.242.40 (talk) 20:47, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Steve Worster

edit

This article contradicts the Steve Worster article on number of 100-yard games. Which is right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.111.86.76 (talk) 10:30, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Boomer Yell in Trivia Section

edit

I'm not certain that this is material which belongs on Wiki at all, although it does seem notable that he has now yelled "Boomer" in a somewhat disruptive manner at the ceremonies for both White and Bradford. If it is going to stay up it needs to say what the source article represents though, not call him a hero for it. GatorOne (talk) 16:16, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The part about yelling Boomer at "inappropriate" times needs to go. But the accusation of upstaging can stay as long as it is worked into the body of the article and not the trivia section.↔NMajdantalk 15:06, 15 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've written this and placed it in the "Post-NFL Years" section following the description of his Heisman Park statue: "He has enthusiastically tried to start the "Boomer! Sooner!" Oklahoma cheer immediately following the naming of the winner at the Heisman Trophy induction ceremonies of the two most recent Oklahoma Sooner winners, Jason White and Sam Bradford, but many in the media have criticized his antics as upstaging the winner." Feel free to edit it or move it around or whatever, just tried to write something a little more professional sounding than the section calling him an ass that has been posted, deleted, restored, deleted, etc. GatorOne (talk) 16:08, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
