Who was it edit
It's very strange that some say Bi Sheng was the inventor of bookprinting orChae Yun-eui. Who was the first. (sry for my language because I'm not english) CEST 13:54
^ Well, he was definitely the inventor of movable type, as described by Shen Kuo. That much is for sure. Lol.

Movable type versus printing press edit
I just got rid of the reference to the printing press here. If you look at the discussion in the article on the printing press, you will see that Bi Sheng invented movable type, but not the press (which, as its name implies, involves pressing, through the use of a continuous screw). Attributing the printing press to Bi Sheng is an error, plain and simple, made by those who think that movable type and the printing press are the same thing.
