Violence section
editJust because the two men were from the village or in the village it doesn't mean the stab murder should be included in the article, unless of course the murder occurred in Beit Ummar. Its like saying a guy was killed in Ramallah by two soldiers from Tel Aviv. Even so, this event doesn't deserve its own section. If the murder did indeed occur in Beit Ummar, it should get a very brief NPOV mention (minus "brutal") in the history section. --Al Ameer son (talk) 22:08, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I don't think it is POV, but just copied the edit from the Bat Ayin article. --Shuki (talk) 22:11, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
Meaning of Town Name
editBeit Ummar does not mean "House of Umar." Ummar is written أمّر, with an initial alif and a shadda on the mim. Umar is written عمر, with an initial ayn and no shadda on the mim. They are two different words with different consonantal roots. I don't know what Ummar means, but it's certainly not the name of the second caliph. --Jeers16 (talk) 21:10, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
ELNO
edit[1] Reverts to IPs are not part of the 1/rr restriction. I'll start a conversation on it anyways:
- WP:ELYES has no application
- WP:ELNO has "Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a featured article.", "Links mainly intended to promote a website, including online petitions.
- Neutrality (a pillar and a policy) are impacted by highlighting this site.
Continued inclusion of this site will result in a request to block accounts unless policy based reasoning can be provided. We are not here to make a point or advertise this organization. If a secondary source discusses the organization then please include it in the body. Only using it as an EL shows that it is not good enough at this point.Cptnono (talk) 06:25, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
