  1. Is it reasonably well written?
"even amid the quarrel between Love and Manson" - whatever they were quarreling about hasn't been introduced yet, can you give this some context in the lead?
"despite that name being used by American rock bands Korn and Rob Zombie for their own concurrent joint tour" - do you think this is worth mentioning in the lead? Since it isn't given any more detail in the body I'd recommend leaving it out
"just psyched to hit the road with anybody" - should 'anybody' be in italics? I ask as the source doesn't make it clear whether the emphasis is that of the speaker or the transcriber
"Love took offense to Manson's depiction of her ..." - can you clarify how she was depicted? Also can you clarify if this is what started the feud?
"Manson suffered a hairline fracture on one of his ankles during their performance" - is there any indication of how this happened?
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. Has an appropriate reference section:
    B. Citation to reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
    B. Focused:
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are provided if possible and are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
Images of Manson and Love (preferably circa 1999) wouldn't go astray, but this won't be a fail point.
  7. Overall:
Pass or Fail: A really interesting article. Looking forward to passing this once issues are replied to. Freikorp (talk) 01:14, 21 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot for the review, Freikorp. Really wasn't expecting anyone to touch this until October, the way GAN is going. ;) I've taken care of the first 3 points above, but it's gonna take me a while to rectify the more serious stuff (looking in Manson's autobiography for quotes and trying to find info on how he fractured his ankle). I'm on the tail-end of a 6-hour Wiki session right now, so I'll have to come back and do the heavy stuff tomorrow when I'm more rested. ;) Cheers again. You're welcome for the review. Take your time addressing the last two points. :) Freikorp (talk) 03:03, 21 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the delay, Frei. It took longer than expected to sort out the Courtney Love stuff, because I basically had to re-read the second half of The Long Hard Road Out of Hell to find the pages where she was mentioned. It was all hidden in the last twenty or so pages, and it's all pretty nasty, to be honest.

Page 255 alleges that Courtney had a brief affair with Twiggy Ramirez only so she could keep tabs on Trent Reznor. MTV picked up on it, at the time. Page 268 describes, in lurid detail, an incident where Courtney "apparently" had an orgy with a crowd of men. The 1994-1995 section of this non-RS does a pretty good job of summing the whole thing up, with minimal smut, if you're curious... ;) The latter obviously pissed Courtney off because as recently as 2014 she said: "I just caught Frances reading Marilyn Manson's autobiography and I had to tell her, "There's a chapter you need to skip in there. You don’t want to be reading about your mom like that.'" The author's editorialising on that article is wrong though: the book was released in '98, before the Beautiful Monsters Tour.

Regarding Manson fracturing his ankle, I found this source (with scans, for confirmation), that says: "Just nine shows into the 37-date trek, Manson fractured his ankle at LA's Great Western Forum when attempting to jump between onstage platforms." I've paraphrased this into the article (with a direct 'cite journal' reference to the original Kerrang! magazine).

I also added two creative commons images of Love and Manson. The image of Manson is from sometime in either 1998 or '99, but the image of Love is from 1995, which was the closest I could find to this tour at the commons (everything else there was from either the mid-80s or the very late 2000s/2010s).

And I think that's everything sorted out. Let me know if there's anything else, or if I haven't done something correctly. And thanks again for the review. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 21:30, 22 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Really good work digging up this information. Very happy with the changes. Passing now. :) Freikorp (talk) 22:00, 22 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Things still needed to reach Featured article status edit

A couple of things quickly come to mind: first, the article needs a "Critical reception" section. It is also missing information regarding per-show attendance and revenue. If we can add those to "Tour dates" and maybe even a little section regarding "Commercial performance", this article would be fully complete. It also needs verifiable information on both band's setlists.

It'd be appreciated if someone could provide those information. -Red marquis (talk) 21:42, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
