Songs? Thirty?

I've always heard there were three translators, not 30. Source?

Also, putting this under "songs" is misleading if anyone is thinking there was music printed to go with the translated metrical texts. The point of metricizing was to make printed music unnecessary; people had the tunes memorized, or followed them from the "lining out" the precentor did (see Sewall's humorous account of how this could go astray when the balconies and the ground floor "caught" two different, but similar tunes from him one morning..and kept singing them both at once...). Tunes were printed in some earlier books and were known from other sources, but were not included with the BPB.Dellaroux (talk) 14:10, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Contrafacto

Extant Copies

First book printed in the British Colonies.

The article currently states the 1640 Bay Psalm Book was the first book printed in North America. Not true. The Bay Psalm Book was the first book printed in the British Colonies that would later become the United States. The first book printed in North America, was printed in Mexico City in 1539.
