Ford assassination attempt in SacramentoGerald Ford assassination attempt in Sacramento – There are too many Fords, like Ford Motor Company. Perhaps add in "Gerald" before "Ford" per WP:precision? We have Barack Obama assassination plot in Denver. Speaking of "plot", can it replace "attempt" per WP:NCE? George Ho (talk) 15:18, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

  • Support a commonsense move to Gerald Ford assassination attempt in Sacramento. What about WP:NCE makes you want to replace "attempt" with "plot," though? "Plot" works better for people who plan but are caught before they can act. The Barack Obama assassination plot in Denver fits in that category. But this was more than a plot—it was a legitimate attempt at assassination which failed. I'd also like to note that, corporate personhood notwithstanding, it's quite impossible to assassinate the Ford Motor Company, though perhaps it could be attempted; maybe a madman throwing a rock at their headquarters could have such a thing in his mind. --BDD (talk) 16:31, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
