Fair use rationale for Image:Arx-fatalis box.jpg

edit

Image:Arx-fatalis box.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This edit doesn't make sense to me. Why are the two other purchase links considered spam and the Steam one not? -- Janizdreg (talk) 02:12, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

There has been some discussion related to this here. -- Janizdreg (talk) 05:00, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

1.19 Patch Drama

edit

There was a bit of drama with this game's latest 1.19 patch, which was released only as part of the GoG.com version. Steam and retail owners who want this patch are forced to buy the game again. You can read about it here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=783402 I think this merits inclusion in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.139.35.40 (talk) 17:30, 25 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Innovation

edit

The article currently reads like advertising,

"One of the innovations in Arx Fatalis is the spellcasting system. Using the mouse and the Ctrl key" (etc)

Many games (e.g. Black and White) use mouse gestures to cause spells in the game so I don't know if I would call this an "innovation", although it is a fantastic and intutive decision made by Arkane Studios. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.255.148 (talk) 02:37, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
