LEMUR system

Archer will not be fitted with the lemur system, it will instead be fitted with a similar but not as capable system from norweigian defence contractor kongsberg. This as a part of the counter purchases that is involved in this affair. 90.230.55.21 23:11, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Anchoring down

Some SPG systems do not have anchor down as the ARCHER apparently must before firing. Would someone with more expertise than mine like to comment on this shortcoming? The ARCHER system's ability to "scoot" quickly after it shoots seems to be limited by this Achilles heel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.226.104.225 (talk) 21:02, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Not an expert, but since the Archer is mounted on a wheeled frame with suspension, It has to deploy supports like a mobile crane or similar, as seen at the rear of the picture in the article. This to negate the sway wich would be created in the suspension when firing. "Deploying" or raising these shouldn't particularly inhibit it's 'scoot' ability, as the time would be neglible and likely operated by the driver, even if moving. That "range"is quite obviously the range of the vehicle on one fuel tank. Not the range of the gun, not even ammunition dependent.

Total built is incorrect

In main info number of archers built listed at 48. Article states 7 and 1 built then each county had 24 built. Wouldn’t the total be 56? 47.227.84.51 (talk) 01:37, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
