The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page at this time, per the discussion below. It may be worth noting that the articles using "born" on WP:NCPDAB concern people still living, while the one that uses "died" is for someone with an uncertain date of birth. Adding another example there for this sort of case might be useful. Dekimasuよ! 04:53, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
Archduke Carl Ludwig of Austria (1918–2007) → Archduke Carl Ludwig of Austria – The only other similarly named Austrian Archduke has his name spelled Archduke Karl Ludwig of Austria with a K instead of a C. As the subject of this article is the only individual with this exact name, a lifespan disambiguation in parentheses seems unnecessary. 2601:241:300:C930:ED94:57EE:8336:2B82 (talk) 03:42, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose As shown by the Deutschen Nationalbibliothek, the elder archduke is also known as Carl Ludwig. Both names are spelled the same way, and so disambiguation by date is necessary. DrKay (talk) 11:06, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose as above. The name can be spelled either way. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:03, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- I also oppose, but per WP:NCPDAB shouldn't it be "(born 1918)"/"(died 2007)"? Galobtter (pingó mió) 05:55, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
