Regarding the little accusation you left on my talk page. Its called the WP:MOS - all changes made were minor ones to make the article confirm to the manual of style and hence help improve the article. It has nothing to do with my own personnel preferences.

Books used in the reference section should use the template that i added, considering only one book has been used per author there is technically no need for the publication date to be in the inline citations, but what ever leave them, and what do the abbreviations mean exactly? For anyone who doesn’t know anything about the RAF, or flying for that matter, will not know for instance that P/O is Pilot Office (i presume).

As for "to have someone undo hours of work on a pretext of knowledge about the article's reference structure is completely unwarranted." Your accusation is completely unwarranted. If helping you develop the article by changing a few things to fit in with the Manual of Style and not edit anything you have added to the main text of the article is vandalism in your opinion then i gladly accept that title!--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 12:35, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

No one is a vandal nor was there any accusation of vandalism but I have to admit that I was a bit peeved at the changes that occurred as the MOS is certainly not written in stone and the use of a variation of bibliographic notation is acceptable. I have attempted to use a consistent reference style based on two existing style guides, the Modern Language Association (which Wiki templates do not accommodate) and the Harvard citation for citing sources in a "short-hand". I have a left a note as to the use of the bibliographic notation on your talk page as this does not concern the development of the article. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 12:44, 9 April 2009 (UTC).

Look ive tried to help improve the article you have worked on - i have shown the relevent guides which back up the edits i made but you keep reverting them so screw it am bailing out of this as you are reverting edits based on your own personnel exp and preference - am a uni student and the guides in use by the Wiki dont match up the way i have to write my essays but i get on with it anyway.

If the article ever proceeds towards GA or FA status then the changes i have made will most likley redone so you can have the same pointless argument with the next poor sap who trys to help you!--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 13:02, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think Tony would be too fussed. He was quite a nice modest guy actually. It was only when I went to the UK I realized what he had done, with the coverage of the 50th anniv of the battle of britain. The Telegrpah mentioned he shot down 5 in a day. Wallie (talk) 21:27, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Timeline can't be correct

Something is wrong in the European theatre section. It says the following (edited):

"From 9 September 1944 till 16 July 1945 he was the commanding officer at No. 309 "Land of Czerwień" Polish Fighter-Reconnaissance Squadron (Ziemi Czerwieńskiej). The squadron was equipped with long-ranging North American Mustang Mk III fighters. From 23 July 1945 he served in 60 OTU and between October and November 1945 he served in No. 307 "City of Lwów" Polish Fighter Squadron (Lwowskich Puchaczy). From 1 December 1945 Glowacki was a liaison officer to 13 RAF Fighter Group. At the end of 1946, as Group Commander, he was the commanding officer of No. 302 "City of Poznań" Polish Fighter Squadron (Poznański) until VE Day."

VE Day was in May 1945, not 1947. Maybe the VE Day mention isn't intended to be there, but it is also possible the years specified are incorrect. Anyone? I know there is an external link to W/Cdr Glowacki Antoni but that is the only place I can see him given Wing Commander rank. The referenced statement within the text states his highest RAF rank was Squadron Leader. Should we change the rank in the infobox. I have made a few other changes to the article which I think were needed, especially adding into the intro his Polish decorations, the two highest awarded for valour by that country. Getting Things Straight ...

Let me get this straight ... in Antoni Glowacki Infobox, he was born in Warsaw, Poland. He joined the Polish Air Force in 1935, then was unable to fly for the Polish Air Force due to the outbreak of World War II and fled to the United Kingdom and flew for the RAF. He also flew for the New Zealand RAF as well in World War II? Am I correct? Adamdaley (talk) 13:33, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

I received confirmation through #wikipedia-en (Freenode IRC Servers) that I was right so Antoni Glowacki's infobox has been redone with the existing information. Minor fixes in the article included spaces taken out. Adamdaley (talk) 02:55, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Medals from five countries

Tony showed me his medals in his house. He mentioned he had medals from five countries. There was certainly a French medal there, and I think from the US and Canada also. I would be interested in someone updating the list. Wallie (talk) 21:23, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
