Bad synth edit

The problematic sentence (italics mine):

"Šercer was [...] found guilty of supporting the NDH, despite the fact that two lecturers at the institution were Serbs, and one of them Muslim (Muhamed Kontardžić), with the student national structure at the school balanced."

Now, the use of "despite" here suggests that the latter part of the sentence somehow contravenes the prior part, but it does not: the fact that "two lecturers at the institution were Serbs", etc. is not a proof that he did not support the NDH. To say that one of them was Muslim is even more peculiar, because in the NDH, unlike Serbs, Muslims were generally not targeted for persecution (cf. Džafer Kulenović) so it is unclear what is this supposed to prove. Anyway: bad WP:SYNTH, so it goes out. The sentence could have been unfair, but surely there are better counter-arguments.
