Quotes

The well-turned sentence of Herbert's that I remember best from CoEvolution Quarterly is "Both the advantage and disadvantage of living alone can be summed up in the phrase, 'There's no one to stop you from being strange.'" Unfortunately I don't have the exact quote and can't provide a precise citation. Alison Chaiken 18:18, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Here are a handful of quotes, but not that one. Possibly in her blog? --Quiddity 08:15, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

blog [website] categorized under "Malicious Sources/Malnets"?

edit

The Anne_Herbert_(writer)#External links section of the article contains an "External link" to http://peaceandloveandnoticingthedetails.blogspot.com/ When I tried to click on that, (to go there) (on Nov. 22, 2013), I got a squawk (error message) saying [quote:]

The website that you are attempting to access is currently categorized as "Malicious Sources/Malnets" in the Blue Coat WebFilter website categorization database.

...Any comments? --Mike Schwartz (talk) 00:10, 23 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

@Mike Schwartz: I'm not seeing any warnings in my browser (Firefox 25), nor at google. The site is blogspot.com which for me redirects instantly to blogspot.ca (probably due to geolocation, as I'm in Canada). It doesn't appear to have any malicious code in the page-source (everything external is from google.com or blogger.com (which google owns)). So for now, I'd suggest that it's a problem with the Blue Coat filter - perhaps you could test out some other blogspot links, eg http://googleblog.blogspot.com/ (google's official blog), to see if it's a domain-wide problem? Thanks. –Quiddity (talk) 01:30, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
@Quiddity: Actually, the next time I looked at it (today), .. now it seems to be OK! ...and I suspect that when I tried looking at it on Nov. 22, 2013, (Nov. 23 "UTC"), either there was something temporarily out of whack on the Blue Coat [filter] web site ...OR I was [probably] inside a building that had a firewall and/or some special filtering, that's not in effect today -- now that I'm trying it from some other location. So... NEVER MIND!
