of Empress-dowager Maria of Antioch and through her ruled the Empire until he was overthrown by Andronikos I Komnenos in 1182. two suggestions here: first I'd suggest you add a link to Dowager, and I'd add Byzantine infront of Empire until he was overthrown by Andronikos I Komnenos in 1182., to reduce any possible confusion. Mostly because while you call him a Byzantine aristocrat, a layman could potentially think Byzantine was a ethnicity.
His birth was celebrated by the poet Theodore Prodromos, who composed a laudatory poem on the occasion. Did Theodore Prodromos have ties to the Komnenos family, or Theodore simply feel the urging to write the poem?

His father died in August 1142, while on campaign with his father and brothers in southern Asia Minor. recommend you add a in front of campaign, unless there is a specific name for the campaign, in which case suggest you mention it.
Andronikos died only a little while after his elder brother Alexios, and probably of the same illness. seems to be a weird sequence of events, since Alexios' death is not mentioned previously. If I'm correct in that before they were talking about Andronikos' death, suggest a change to His father, Andronikos, died in August 1142, shortly after his older brother Alexios died, potentially of the same illness, while on campaign with his father and brothers in southern Asia Minor.
