The following line was removed by me - Gorsky gave continuity to the plots of Petipa’s ballets and removed excessive choreography that did not relate to the story. This statement is completely untrue - Gorsky is primarily responsible for the eventual Soviet-era tradition (that exists even to this day) of going overboard by stuffing Petipa's ballets with numbers from other ballets. He most certainly did not give "continuity" to any plots in any works, & instead of having "removed excessive choreography that did not relate to the story" he added dances without much rhyme or reason. Most of the books that are referenced in this article use early Soviet-era historians as their source on Gorsky's productions. These Soviet historians are very unreliable at times, as they were often motivated by nationalism.--Mrlopez2681 (talk) 12:44, 28 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
