He appears to have married a Romenza Pattersaul in 1943 and she appears to be this Romenza Broome who passed away in 1980 - https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/34180677/romenza-broome. Their son Parnell died in 2016 and his FindAGrave page says that both of his parents preceded him in death - https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/172318724/parnell_tommie-lee-broome. It mentions his father being an Alexander and relatives with the Pattersaul name.
