Dear student(s) working on this article

I've probably already done too much of your work for you. But here are a few suggestions for your editing:

Look at the format of other articles. Do they start with the subject name in big letters in the body of the article, as opposed to the title, and the section heading "Profile"? No. So don't do so.
Similarly, are all dates in brackets? No.
Look at the format of references in Wikipedia. It may not be the same as your department or university's recommended style for written course work. So please make the effort to learn how to do references in Wikipedia. Again, look at similar articles, and copy the styles used. Or read the instructions in the various help files around Wikipedia.
Avoid words like "world leading figure" unless you can give chapter and verse to substantiate them. Avoid "notable" etc. Stick with the facts.
But then give us real details of his publications, not just a link to a web site which shows the abstract. If you're saying he wrote a journal article, cite it as a journal article which happens to also have a URL. If you're listing his books, give us full details (date, publisher etc) and isbn (this last will automatically provide a link to catalogues etc). And note that book titles are cited in italics, without quote marks.
Have another look at the first line. He may currently be a senior lecturer but that's not what he's notable for. Try something like "Adam Joinson (born 19xx) is a British cyberpsychologist". (Note the format - bold for the article name at start of text). That first sentence should show why he's notable for - in some places like Google hits lists it'll be all someone sees, so pack it with key facts.
Try and find a sourced date of birth, it's usually included where possible.
Someone else has already queried his "Notability". The criteria for academics are quite high - see WP:ACADEMIC (much more demanding than for sportspeople where anyone who has ever played any sport once at professional level counts as "notable"). Read those rules, check that your man is "Notable", and tell us how he meets the criteria. With sources.

If you get things wrong they WILL usually be torn apart by other editors, politely or otherwise. There's a lot to learn, but it's an interesting journey. Enjoy your editing. His official page at U. of Bath: http://www.bath.ac.uk/management/faculty/adam_joinson.html should at least be an "External link", and may provide you with more content. As it's from the institution, not just a personal website, it's a "reliable source", and probably better than using a news item from 2007 to verify that he's a senior lecturer: he might well have either left or been promoted to a chair by now, ... in fact yes, look at it, he's a Reader now. That illustrates again how the key point you need for the lead sentence is not his academic status but his field of work. PamD 19:55, 19 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you search for "Adam Joinson" in google news archive, there are plenty of articles quoting him, which are sufficient to demonstrate that he is notable per WP:PROF #7 "person is frequently quoted in conventional media as an academic expert in a particular area". When I've written bios about other scientists with similar notability, a reasonable way to build the article is to find news articles that have been discussed by the media, and then find the paper being discussed and add that to the article.
