Abraham Alikhanov → Abram Alikhanov – WP:COMMONNAME --Երևանցի talk 19:27, 2 January 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. — Amakuru (talk) 17:28, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
His name in Armenian is Abraham, but since he lived in Russia and was known as a Soviet ("Russian") physicist, his name is commonly spelled as "Abram". examples: NYT obituary, scholarly papers on him [1], [2], etc.
- Support Nomination seems reasonable, consistent with WP:COMMONNAME, and well cited. Moreover, the redirect can be kept for searchability and access as it is a common variant spelling. I would suggest adding an applicable Rcat for the alternative spelling to the redirect post-close. --Doug Mehus T·C 17:50, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
