Should Susheela Jayapal be labeled as Pramila's sister?
editIt seems there is a disagreement over whether Susheela Jayapal's description should include the fact that she is a sister of U.S. Rep Pramila Jayapal. I'm not aware of standing Wikipedia policy on this subject, so please let me know if there is any. I feel that given that Susheela has already held elected office, and that voters are likely to judge her based on the merits of her positions/experience (speculation, of course) rather than family connections as Pramila likely has fairly low name recognition being from a different state (more speculation), it makes sense to leave it out. If someone were to write about the election in paragraphical form, I think it'd be fine to include the info, and I don't object to it being noted in Pramila's endorsement to alert to plausible conflict of interest. Examples supporting my position include Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (described as "attorney and activist"), Rand Paul (described as "ophthalmologist"), and George P. Bush (described as "commissioner of the Texas General Land Office"), despite being the children of former senator and attorney general Robert F. Kennedy, then-U.S. rep. Ron Paul, and former Florida governor Jeb Bush respectively. (I doubt being a child versus a sibling would make a difference, but I couldn't think of any sibling examples off the top of my head.)
