Ongoing edit

User:Mlpearc: I have restored the 'ongoing' tag and added more info about yesterday's events. May I ask that before you remove such tags, you look up the topic on Google News please?Zigzig20s (talk) 11:17, 8 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Zigzig20s: The event and page no longer (never was IMO) warrant the use of this template. Please see the template's documentation It is not intended to be used to mark an article that merely has recent news articles about the topic; if it were, hundreds of thousands of articles would have this template, with no informational consequence. among others. - Mlpearc (open channel) 13:16, 8 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
OK. In future, do not leave warning messages on user talkpages when they have already pinged you on an article talkpage. It has a chilling effect. Simply respond on the article talkpage. Having said that, I think the policy of the 'ongoing' tag should be extended, but I apologise for the misunderstanding. Zigzig20s (talk) 13:20, 8 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Zigzig20s:Stop re-adding stuff you shouldn't. - Mlpearc (open channel) 13:22, 8 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Next time please take the time to explain this on the talkpage, when you have already been pinged on it. Assume good faith. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 13:23, 8 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Zigzig20s: What ? What is that just below your first post ^ ^ - Mlpearc (open channel) 13:25, 8 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Next time, please ping the editor on the article talkpage. Avoid posting a stressful message their user talkpage; it has a chilling effect. I spent a lot of time working on this article and I was expecting a barnstar, not unnecessary stress. The conversation is over. Have a nice day.Zigzig20s (talk) 13:34, 8 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Are they still ongoing? Charles Essie (talk) 21:14, 4 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
