Next elections?

edit

Do we know yet when the next local elections after 2014 will be? Is it to be fixed to a five year cycle meaning that the next elections will be in 2019? Or as the new councils will shadow the current councils for one year before becoming fully operational in 2015 will the next elections be five years after that in 2020? I have it from "Local Government Policy Division - Reform" that the next election will be in 2019: a fixed four years after the new councillors begin work in 2015. The precise date will be up to the Northern Ireland Office. --Wavehunter (talk) 13:54, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Bondegezou. Very interesting. The Telegraph gets its data from Nicholas Whyte's article on Slugger O'Toole. --Wavehunter (talk) 14:23, 23 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
I suggest that, given Nick Whyte's standing in the field, it would be acceptable to use the Slugger O'Toole article as a reliable source and we use his notional figures in this article. (I should declate a potential conflict of interest in that I vaguely know Nick Whyte, having overlapped at college.) Bondegezou (talk) 14:42, 23 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Done. I'm sure my effort can be improved upon, but here's a start. --Wavehunter (talk) 15:09, 23 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
