Periférico crossing between Las Lomas & Polanco

Probably not suitable for article inclusion (?), but the plane came down about 200m away from here. Just to give an idea of how built-up the area is... Aille (talk) 05:13, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's a great idea for in the article, but the infobox should have something more specific, I think. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 05:16, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I reverted your edit to the infobox because it made pictures on all the other aviation accident pages huge. I think the image on this page is okay the way it is. – Zntrip 06:19, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The photo of Paseo de la Reforma indicated that it is the "area in which the crash happened." This is not true. The crash occurred at the other end of Reforma, near the intersection with Periferico. The proposed photo, at right, is closer to the site of the crash but is not the site (in fact the camera is looking away from the crash site), nor does the photo provide any new information.189.141.252.207 (talk) 12:45, 12 December 2009 (UTC)COReply

Spanish edit

Does this article not exist in Spanish? Or is there some way to make a link to it if it does? 193.147.78.39 (talk) 13:50, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

No article on their 'pedia, but Spanish wikinews has Muere el ministro de Gobernación mexicano en un accidente aéreo. Aille (talk) 14:08, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Death Toll edit

The death toll is now 13 according to the BBC. BBC Article --Kuzwa (talk) 16:33, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

According to the Final Report the death toll was 16: 3 crew, 6 passengers and 7 people on the ground (3 of them in the accident site, 4 as a result of the injuries) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.127.115.197 (talk) 23:28, 14 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Decency edit

Other than "shock-value," why is it necessary to mention "body parts" strewn around the crash site. How would you feel if this article concerned one of your loved ones? Could you consider deleting this insensitive and superfluous line? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.226.104.225 (talk) 17:06, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

It gives an understanding of how vicious the force of impact was. Also, Wikipedia is unbiased, even in unfortunate cases like this. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 20:10, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removal of unsourced information edit

I removed the following information because it was not sourced, and even contradicted official information (such as this one):

The crash is believed to have been affected by a Boeing 767-300 coming from Buenos Aires as the Learjet did not comply with the required separation between the two aircraft. Wake turbulence from the heavy 767 may have affected the Learjet that was flying at a low speed.

If someone wants to add it again, please source it properly. Thank you.--Legion fi (talk) 00:00, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

infobox image edit

It looks pretty washed out on some monitors... can barely make out anything at all. Could different colors be used? Thanks. DavidRF (talk) 02:16, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

You mean the image or the infobox colours themselves? Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 00:43, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

More info edit

Secretary of Communications and Transport Luis Téllez confirmed yesterday that the Learjet 45, in which Interior Secretary Juan Camilo Mouriño was travelling, crash as a result of an accident, according to available information; if some one want to expand the information this is the link:

Cockpit communication text edit

There was a problem/edit war between User:Meximan1000 and me about the addition of copyright/fair use of text from CNN and the Mexican government's Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transporte to display the communication last recorded before the crash. Anyone interested in the discussion and the agreement may find this section of my talk page useful. (Please know that my talk page is reaching quite a length and I may archive the section that includes this text soon). I will now restore the text. Thank you. ←Signed:→Mr. E. 9th passanger edit

There were nine passengers on the jet. But the passenger list shows eight. Who was the ninth passenger on board? MattChatt18 (talk) 19:54, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
