- Done. I didn't realize the syntax what this straight-forward. UW Dawgs (talk) 06:17, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
NCCU
editNorth Carolina Central University football has been in the MEAC since 2010. The template still has them as a D-II Independent. I tried to put this in myself but I kept breaking the template, and considering it's during the draft I decided to revert rather than continue to break the template. Could someone familiar with the syntax of this template fix this? Thanks. -Drdisque (talk) 20:39, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- 2015 media guide pg 27 says Independent from 2007-10 and MEAC from 2011 onward. Updated accordingly. UW Dawgs (talk) 16:56, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Wagner
editA player from Wagner (in the Northeast Conference) was drafted in the 6th round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and the conference is listed on the draft article as "N/A". Can someone add Wagner to this template? pʰeːnuːmuː → pʰiːnyːmyː → ɸinimi → fiɲimi 23:05, 28 April 2018 (UTC)

Template:Cfb conf → Template:College football conference – I watch (and have edited) this template, and thus view it on a fairly regular basis. Even so, I still have issue remembering what this does just from the name. Rename would still allow for the shortcut to be used, but make it more obvious to someone seeing a watchlist notice (or email) which template is being edited. In other words, "make the template name more obvious" (Guideline #3). Primefac (talk) 21:08, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

New version
editI have rewritten this template to use Module:College football conference, and the performance is about 4 to 5 times faster, which is significant for pages like 2006 NFL Draft (see this thread). the Module:College football conference/data and Module:College football conference/alias data modules should be fairly straightforward to understand. the module iterates through the year spans for each team and returns the first span that matches. if no span matches, it returns a long dash. if the school lookup doesn't work, it returns "N/A" (just as before). let me know if you see any problems. if for some reason these data modules become too large, we can split them alphabetically, like Module:Political party. thank you. Tennessee
edit"Tennesee" (sic) is misspelt a couple of times in Module:College football conference/alias. I'm not sure whether this is deliberate to allow similar typos in the callers. Certes (talk) 20:58, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
Big 6/7/8/MVIAA
editThere are some inconsistencies with the Big 8 Conference from 1928-1963. Yes I know the legal name was the MVIAA until that time. However, it was informally (Commonname Big 6/7/8 during that span. Colorado already links it as such. Shouldn't the rest of the schools follow suit?- UCO2009bluejay (talk) 08:25, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
