Pop culture experts vs Academic experts edit

Great initiative, here are two quick suggestions:

(1) I am not sure that the "expert" label really applies to both figures there equally. One is more of a pop culture expert rather than a subject expert. Jankowicz received media coverage because she was sacked so quickly from her position and not so much for subject contributions. perhaps it would be important for this article to have a list of subject experts based on their contributions to academic journals and books even though they do not have so much media coverage. Therefore, this article could benefit from using the notoriety guidelines for academic contributions. One benefit of using academic contributions is avoiding the risk of the article becoming US-centric very quickly.

(2) Making explicit what makes them experts. Expertise managing a relevant government department or media NGO definitely should qualify, and also, what contributions they have made, for instance, academics, activists, and practitioners. MexFin (talk) 06:10, 22 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
