"West Hollywood John Doe"		N/A	Discovered January 5, 1991	Unidentified	The remains of a 50 to 60-year-old man were found at 4:30 in the afternoon inside an abandoned car behind a business in West Los Angeles. The car was used by the business for spare parts and was always left unlocked. The man's cause of death was unknown, as was his post-mortem interval.
George Pollard			Hospitalized May 5, 2005 Died June 21, 2005	January 2015	A middle aged man was found unresponsive on the street near a homeless shelter in Los Angeles, after suffering a serious head injury. It is not known how the man was wounded or if it was intentional. The man was hospitalized, but died from his injuries 2 months later. Papers found on the man when he was first discovered indicated that he may have been George Pollard, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, but this could not be confirmed. In January 2015, family members of Pollard viewing a Pennsylvania missing persons' website were able to confirm the identification.
Name withheld for privacy "Woodland Hills John Doe"		N/A	Discovered September 22, 1993		A 35 to 40 year old white male was discovered dead on a street in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. He is identified, but his name is not released as his family has to be located.
Kenneth Ecker			September 2011		A distinctly large man, 6'8" (approximately 2 meters) tall and 550 pounds, either fell or jumped from an apartment building in Brooklyn. The John Doe was identified as Kenneth "Ken" Ecker by a friend of Ecker's who was searching for references of Ecker's signature Spider-Man beanie and came across a reconstruction posted by Koppelman to Websleuths.

Angie Faye Toler			December 22, 1992	Summer, 2012	The body of a young black woman was discovered by a passerby along train tracks in Richmond, Virginia. The woman had likely been dead for less than 24 hours before her discovery, and her cause of death was ruled as an accidental death caused by hypothermia. In 2012, a post-mortem photograph of the woman was used in a presentation at NamUs's training academy, when a member of the audience recognized her as Angie Toler, 21, of Smithfield, North Carolina. DNA samples collected from relatives confirmed the identification. Toler had moved to Richmond in 1992 with her then-boyfriend, and it is believed she wished to move back home when the relationship dissolved.	Death of Angie Toler

"Bloomington Jane Doe (1982)"		N/A	February 2, 1982	Unidentified	The decedent was found in Bloomington, Illinois, only hours after having committed suicide by hanging herself from a utility pole. She carried no identification. Investigators followed up on multiple leads, with no results. The woman had been picked up hitchhiking shortly before her death. A farmer and a state highway crewman had encountered the decedent hours before her death and asked her if she needed help, which she declined. One of the personal items on her was a key that was traced to a New York City locksmith and had an address printed on it, but it was later discovered that address did not exist. After 10 months unidentified, the decedent was buried in an unmarked grave near Bloomington. Her DNA has been submitted and is currently undergoing testing.

Tempe Girl		N/A	Discovered April 27, 2002	Unidentified	The body of a teenaged girl was found behind a strip mall in Tempe, Arizona. The girl had died the day prior of a cocaine overdose. Fingerprints on the girl's belongings were traced to a male vehicle owner who had picked the girl up as a hitchhiker the day prior in Phoenix. The girl asked the driver to take her to Tempe, where she wanted to buy concert tickets. Once at Tempe, however, she changed her mind, and asked to be taken to a different location. Another male got into the back seat with the girl, and sold her cocaine. The girl stated that she had gotten kicked out of her house for her drug usage. Upon snorting the cocaine, the girl began to have seizures. The driver left both of his passengers behind a strip mall and told the drug dealer to call 9-1-1 from a nearby gas station, however her body was not found until the next morning. Due to the circumstances described, the girl's death was ruled neither a homicide nor an accidental death.	Tempe Girl

The companions were able to inform police that the decedent had introduced himself as "Joe" and had stated that he was traveling from New York/New Jersey to Los Angeles and that he had been robbed in Cleveland. The girl had been dead for approximately 2 weeks prior to being found, and her body had decayed beyond recognition. The authorities were able to determine that the girl's cause of death was homicide by asphyxiation.
Robin Ann Green "Miss Molly"			Discovered January 25, 1986	Augst, 2020	The body of a woman was found in a creek below a bridge of Interstate 70 in Salina, Kansas. The woman had been severely beaten and then thrown off the bridge, where she then drowned in the creek. The victim had been dead for approximately a day before being discovered. The victim did not appear to be transient, as she was very well groomed, and most of her clothing was expensive or high-quality. She also did not appear to be local, as several articles of her clothing were only sold in cities on the coasts. The unidentified woman was nicknamed "Miss Molly" by investigators. The remains were exhumed by Interpol in July 2019 to have DNA tested against a suspected match missing from Belgium. The DNA did not match, but a hit returned from a DNA database in Minnesota. Miss Molly was conclusively identified as Robin Green, missing from Los Angeles. Robin had last been seen on December 28, 1985 with her second husband, Micheal Green, while traveling to Minnesota to visit Robin's ex-husband and 4 children. Micheal Green, who was involved in a drug case at the time of Robin's disappearance, has not been ruled out as a suspect. Micheal Green died in 2007.	Murder of Robin Green

Andrea Kuiper "Andrea Doe"			April 1, 1990	May 4, 2017	A young woman attempting to cross Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, California, was struck by two separate cars and was pronounced dead on the scene. Several witnesses had encountered her in the area shortly before her death, but all confirmed that the decedent was a hitchhiker with no permanent connection to Orange County. Information from witnesses was pieced together that stated the decedent had introduced herself as "Andrea", and had said that she was originally from the East Coast. The decedent had told some witnesses that she was from New York, and others that she was from Virginia. The decedent claimed to be 25 or 26 years old, though she appeared as young as 16. The decedent claimed that she was adopted and was traveling to find her biological family, and claimed that they were prominent but would not elaborate on who they were. In early 2017, the decedent's fingerprints were uploaded to an FBI-managed project that worked to create a more extensive and dynamic database of UID fingerprints. The woman had been dead for approximately 2 months prior to discovery, and decay prevented identification, as well as determination of the cause of death. However, the death is still being investigated as suspicious, as the body was found in an area notorious for the trafficking of women.

Gwenn Story "Sahara Sue"		N/A	August 14, 1979	Unidentfied	A partially undressed unresponsive woman was found lying face down in a parking lot on Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas. The woman had been murdered by multiple stab wounds to the abdomen, and had died only hours prior. Fingerprints and a complete DNA profile were successfully taken from the victim, but she had no natural teeth left despite being between only 15 to 25 years old. The victim was found with a complete upper denture, but no lower denture was recovered. The victim came to be known as "Sahara Sue" after the location of her discovery. The victim was last seen alive at a liquor store with an unidentified white man. New leads uncovered in 2016 suggest her name may have been "Shauna" or "Shawna", that she may have worked at a Holiday Inn or motel on Las Vegas Boulevard, and that she may have lived in a trailer park prior to her death. The woman had been killed by insertion of an ice pick or related object into her nostril, and had also been strangled and sexually assaulted both anally and vaginally. A man from Tucson, Arizona told police that he had given the unidentified woman the rose tattoo on her right breast, stating that she had been wearing a brown peasant dress at that time and that she was a transient hitchhiker. DNA evidence of her assaulter was collected from her body. Annie Lehman "Annie Doe"		[3]	Discovered August 19, 1971	March 12, 2019	A traveling father and son stopped to spend the night along Redwood Highway in Josephine County, Oregon, discovered the completely skeletal remains of a girl between 14 to 25 years old. The girl had been dead for several months. The body was in an area described as a dump and was partially covered with debris, so homicide was suspected even though the cause of death could not be determined. A map of campsites in Northern California was found in one of her pockets. The nickname "Annie Doe" came from forensic artist Joyce Nagy, who did a clay reconstruction of the victim's face, and claimed that the features she was depicting felt like an Annie. In late 2018, DNA from Annie Doe was submitted to the DNA Doe Project. The DDP noted that Annie Doe's case was of unusual difficulty. Annie's DNA was highly degraded, requiring several rounds of extraction and sequencing. Even once suitably collected, many of Annie's closest matches were from outside of the United States, making it difficult to search genealogy records. In March of 2019, Annie Doe was positively identified as 16 year old Anne "Annie" Marie Lehman, who went missing from Aberdeen, Washington in early 1971 under suspicious and unknown circumstances. The woman was fully clothed and well-groomed, and her clothes were noted as being of high quality. The decedent had been dead for approximately 1 to 2 days before being found. Her death is being investigated as a homicide, though details were not disclosed.

The cave had been partitioned off with spare wood to form a crude living area, and it appeared the woman had been living there for some time. The woman was found lying nude under a blanket, but clothing was found in the area, as well as a few other everyday personal items, such as lip gloss and a bottle of mouthwash. The mummified remains had been there for approximately 2 to 4 weeks and were not in a recognizable state. The woman had multiple stress ulcers in her stomach, but no traumatic injuries, and a toxicology test reported negative for drugs and alcohol in her system. "Davidson County Sherry Doe"		N/A	March 24, 1976	Unidentified	The body of a Hispanic or Native American teenaged girl was found floating in the Harpeth River near a bridge in Davidson County, Tennessee, near the Cheatham County border. The girl had been dead for less than a day prior to discovery and had been sighted hitchhiking by witnesses, who said her name may have been "Sherry". Sherry Doe's cause of death was determined to be drowning and may have been accidental, but there were abrasions on her body that could not be disproven as resulting from being forcibly held underwater. Sherry had had sexual intercourse within a few days of her death, though it was similarly impossible to determine whether or not it was assault. The girl's body was recovered without a shirt over her bra, though a blouse that may have been hers was recovered from the river the same day. A photo found in Sherry's back pocket showing a little blond boy had the name "Little Charlie" and a phone number written on it. The phone number led to a man who was not the boy in the photograph but did go by the name Little Charlie. Little Charlie said that he and his brother-in-law had picked Sherry and a blonde friend of hers up hitchhiking in Nashville 10 days prior. Sherry and an unidentified blonde teenage girl were traveling together, allegedly heading to Haines City, Florida to visit the blonde girl's husband. Sherry said that the two girls had run away from a mental treatment facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where Sherry was being treated for alcoholism, while the blonde girl was admitted for being suicidal, supported by visible self-harm scars on her wrists. The photo found on Sherry was allegedly of the blonde girl's son. The blonde girl was never located by investigators, and neither were hospital records surrounding female mental patients escaping in the Saint Paul area in 1976. The victim had been dead for approximately a day prior to discovery. The woman had 2 distinctive and well-inked tattoos, one on each arm. In 2015, DNA extracted from scrapings under her fingernails was used to convict Wilson Chouest of her murder. Chouest may have picked her up at the now-defunct bar Ruby's in Lemoore, California, and she may have gone by the name "Becky Ochoa". In July 2018, the DNA Doe Project was brought on to help identify the woman. Though the woman's DNA was highly degraded, a year later the DDP was able to upload a genetic profile to GEDmatch. The case was further complicated when it was revealed that the woman was a First Nations Canadian, a demographic both underrepresented in genetic databases and more likely to have oral family histories than written ones. In April 2021, the victim was formally identified as Shirley Ann Soosay, a Cree woman from Alberta. Soosay had left her home on the Maskwacis Cree reservation in her 20s to work in Edmonton, then later settled in Vancouver. Soosay was last heard from in 1979. A severed hand was recovered in July 1984 that was thought to belong to the woman found in June, but this was disproven through MtDNA testing. 14 years later, a skull was recovered on a vacant lot that was confirmed to belong to the victim. The victim received the name "Millie Doe" shortly after the retrieval of her skull. The detective assigned to the case, Don Geise, was transporting the skull to a lab in Western Washington to undergo forensic testing, accompanied by his fifth grade daughter. Having been dead for up to 8 months prior to her discovery, the remains were not in recognizable condition. The victim's skirt had been pulled down, suggesting sexual assault. The initial autopsy had incorrectly stated that the victim was a cisgender woman who had given birth before, but a redone autopsy in 2015 revealing an XY chromosome rectified that the victim was a transgender woman who'd undergone sex reassignment therapy, rare for the time. The hormonal changes in her bones previously attributed to pregnancy were later realized to be due to hormone replacement therapy.
