Gurajala Jagan Mohan (born 15 January 1983), also known as GJM, is a realtor, businessman, and former film producer from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. In 2024, he was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the Chittoor Assembly constituency as a candidate of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).[1][2]

Early Life

Gurajala Jagan Mohan was born in Gudipala mandal, Chittoor, in present-day Andhra Pradesh, into an agricultural family. He later moved to Bangalore, where he established himself as a successful realtor and developer.[3] In addition to his real estate ventures, he founded educational institutions. Jagan Mohan also ventured into the film industry, establishing a production house named Unicraft Movies[4] and producing the movie Manalo Okkadu, directed by R. P. Patnaik.[5]

Social Activities

In 2018, Gurajala Jagan Mohan started a charitable trust under the name GJM Foundation in Chittoor. Through this trust, he has provided financial support for the education of both children and adults and has made significant charitable contributions to local community entities.[citation needed]

Political Career

Gurajala Jagan Mohan was a huge admirer of N. T. Rama Rao and Nandamuri Balakrishna. When Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan actively participated in organizing events in his hometown, Chittoor, on behalf of the TDP. In 2024, he secured a ticket from the Telugu Desam Party for the general elections.[6][7]

He ran in the 2024 Indian general election from the Chittoor Assembly constituency as a Telugu Desam Party candidate and won with a majority of 88,066[8] votes, succeeding former member Arani Srinivasulu.[9]
