Draft:Galaxy J0613+52

Galaxy J0613+52 is an intergalactic cloud in the Local Void, some 270 megalight-years (83 megaparsecs) away, in the Constellation Auriga, considered to be a primordial galaxy, that is a gas cloud that will become a protogalaxy, upon the start of mass star formation. It is classified as a dark galaxy, low surface brightness galaxy (LSB), disc galaxy, void galaxy. The putative galaxy has few if any stars, and was detected solely via radio emissions from its hydrogen cloud, making it a dark galaxy, and LSB galaxy. Doppler effects of the galaxy's radio emissions indicate it has a gas distribution like that of a disc or spiral galaxy, with mass, density and rotational speed. Being located in a void makes it a void galaxy. It is the first remnant primordial pregalactic gas cloud to be discovered in the local universe.

"J0613+52" is the short form of the coordinate location of this object in the sky, "J" representing the coordinate system origin in use, J2000.0 of the Julian epoch based on sky positions from the year 2000CE. With coordinate terms right ascension 06h 13m and declination +52°
