Wouldn't it be much simpler (and quicker) to make a list of Non-Jewish chess players? There aren't that many.

Missing Name

I miss at least one grandmaster Grünfeld(exact spelling?) (could be two different, but one Im sure of). Whom I presume was jewish. He was big in the 20:ies, surely later too. As I understand, its he with Grünfeld defence, an Indian defence variation with quick d7-d5 [Ernst Grünfeld]. He was one-legged. As he had experiences of famine, he was happy to receive his fee in potatoes.
