Scope and purpose edit

I created this collaboration to concentrate and organize efforts to improve articles related to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While the scope is narrower than the already existing Latter Day Saint Collaboration of the Fortnight, which addresses all sects and splinters of the Latter Day Saint movement, it more accurately represents my interests. I also feel I will be better able to keep the collaboration active, productive and organized by creating this new collaboration, rather than revising the old, somewhat defunct effort. uriah923(talk) 19:51, 19 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Template on Article or Talk page? edit

Oleg Alexandrov has raised the issue on Wikipedia talk:Collaborations of whether the template for the current winner of a collaboration should go on the article or the talk page. You might be interested in taking part. Pruneau 00:34, 24 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mormon handcart pioneers is now a featured article edit

I'd like to thank everyone who has participated in improving the article, especially during the month that it was designated as the Mormon collaboration of the month.

I'm getting ready to submit a proposal to have the article listed as Today's featured article. The draft version is located on User:BRMo/testpage. I'd appreciate receiving your comments, suggestions, or edits. (I couldn't find any specific instructions on the rules these boxes need to follow; if there are instructions that you are aware of, please let me know where to find them.) I've now gone ahead and submitted the box to Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests. If you'd like to make any comments or edits, you can do so there. BRMo 03:57, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mormon handcart pioneers has been scheduled as Today's featured article/December 14, 2006. BRMo 03:06, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's great!! As a reminder, the day featured articles appear on the main page, they are usually vandalized freqently. The type of subtle vandalism that religion articles sometimes attract needs those familiar with the subject matter to review and correct these edits. So if everyone could make themselves available on the 14th to help watch the article, it would be appreciated. --Trödel 05:18, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Simple English Wikipedia edit

I have done some work on the few LDS articles on the Simple English Wikipedia[1]. Articles include Mormonism[2], Book of Mormon[3], The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints[4], Joseph Smith[5], and Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints[6]. The point of this Wikipedia language is for people just learning English, or for starting new language Wikipedias.

Just wanted to post so that people know that this exists, and if anyone wants to help, it would be much appreciated. TK421 03:18, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Community Portal edit

This collaboration appears to be inactive so I am removing it from the community portal. If this becomes active again just add it back.--Banana 00:24, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

A new newsletter directory is out! edit

A new Newsletter directory has been created to replace the old, out-of-date one. If your WikiProject and its taskforces have newsletters (even inactive ones), or if you know of a missing newsletter (including from sister projects like WikiSpecies), please include it in the directory! The template can be a bit tricky, so if you need help, just post the newsletter on the template's talk page and someone will add it for you.
