Suggestion to emulate Wikipedia:Meetup/LA/4 Wiknic

edit

I suggest that you good folks just copy the time and place details from last year's smash-hit Wikipedia:Meetup/LA/4 Wiknic, so we can get this page really set up asap.--Pharos (talk) 17:43, 21 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

looking at satellite view.. which entrance is closest to the alleged tables & grills?

edit

If I come, I intend to get there early as a place staker. Looking at the satellite view, it seems that there is a northeast corner that has clumps that are either tables or tree plantings. Where in relation to the recreation center are the picnic tables you want staked out? Satelite view:[1]LiPollis (talk) 13:23, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Take a look at the custom Google map I created with the BBQ locations marked. Ideally, we'd want one of the grills marked "BBQ location A" to "BBQ location F". Thanks. howcheng {chat} 16:11, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

We'd like to invite representative(s) from the group who have some experience in organizing the local meetups, to join the Wikimedians Active in Local Regions of the United States (WALRUS) committee, our monthly IRC meetings, and the associated wikimediaus-l mailing list, to help advance real-life Wikimedian activities in the US, including Wiki Loves Monuments photography in September and Wikipedia Loves Libraries meetups in October/November.--Pharos (talk) 17:01, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

How did the Wiknic go?

edit

If you could give a sentence or two on the front side of this page summarizing your local Wiknic experience, that would be great! Also, any photos :)--Pharos (talk) 19:27, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
