Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Bilateral relations
Points of interest related to Bilateral relations on Wikipedia: Category – WikiProject – Deletions – Stubs |
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Bilateral relations. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Bilateral relations|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Bilateral relations. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Fails GNG, 2 of the 3 sources are dead. The estimated population is very small at around 1000, and no significant coverage of their contribution to Luxembourg society. LibStar (talk) 06:00, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

Ambassadors are not inherently notable. He gets a mere 3 google news hits and article is unreferenced. His involvement with Maher Arar can be covered in that article. The 2 CBC news articles quoted at end are dead. Fails WP:BIO. LibStar (talk) 04:17, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

Embassies are not inherently notable. This has been marked for notability concerns, 3.5 years ago. The history section is not even about the embassy. Fails WP:ORG. LibStar (talk) 02:00, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: Bilateral relations, Indonesia, and Portugal. LibStar (talk) 02:00, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Delete. The embassy itself is far from notable. Too many conflate "relations" pages with "embassy" pages. Geschichte (talk) 12:44, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

I am just not seeing any basis for notability for a one-time loan of just over (in Dr. Evil-speak) one million dollars. I can imagine this being merged somewhere as a line, but an article seems unsupportable. BD2412 T 20:39, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

- Delete or Merge to Polish United Workers' Party, where the topic is already discussed. Per nom, there is not enough here to justify its on article. Yilloslime (talk) 22:16, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the list of Poland-related deletion discussions. Shellwood (talk) 22:24, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Soft delete or Merge to Polish United Workers' Party#Dissolution of the PZPR in the event that someone wants to do a full treatment of this topic. This article has been here since 2007 and it looks like it's been a stub the whole time. Some Wikieditors have taken an interest in de-orphaning etc. but no one has done the legwork of getting enough sources to establish notability. Darkfrog24 (talk) 01:31, 8 July 2024 (UTC)

- Important Ambassador key to negotiations on the completion of the EU’s Single Market. KEEP Cantab12 (talk) 07:50, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Comment - if not notable then this list List of high commissioners of the United Kingdom to Malta is just useless. Twinkle1990 (talk) 12:14, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Comment I disagree. The list is not useless even if not all office holders on the list are inherently notable. The ones with knighthoods/damehoods would be considered notable, almost by default. Uhooep (talk) 15:42, 26 June 2024 (UTC)

- Delete fails WP:BIO. The sole keep vote fails to demonstrate existence of sources to meet GNG or WP:BIO. LibStar (talk) 02:23, 8 July 2024 (UTC)

- Comment I nominated quite a few of the diplomat articles I previously created for deletion, but I left this one out as there was coverage of his time in Malawi in the Nyasa Times and other Malawian sources. : [1], [2], [3], [4] [5]. May be more available. Unsure if this fails GNG. Heavy Grasshopper (talk) 09:56, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
