Accolade, Inc. was an American game developer and publisher based in San Jose, California. The company was founded in 1984 by Alan Miller and Bob Whitehead, who had previously co-founded Activision. Accolade became known for its sports franchises, including HardBall!, Jack Nicklaus, and Test Drive. By the 1990s, Accolade saw critical acclaim for Star Control, as well as strong sales for Bubsy. However, Sega sued Accolade for creating unauthorized Sega Genesis games by reverse-engineering the console. Accolade won the case on appeal, overturning an injunction that had interrupted their sales. The founders soon left the company and a new chief executive, Peter Harris, attracted new investment. He was replaced by Accolade president Jim Barrett, who focused on existing franchises to secure the company's future, which led to a mix of modest successes and commercial disappointments. - Comment At the moment, the image is not appearing correctly and there are no wikilinks. I would recommend you take a look at past TFAs as examples for how to link within the blurb. It also appears to be just slightly too long (>1025 characters). Once those issues are resolved, I'd be ready to support. Ergo Sum 02:54, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- Edited the description. I couldn't find any past TFAs that made this clear, because I couldn't see any difference between what I was doing and what anyone else was doing, and there are no visible instructions about image use on TFAs. That said, I changed the fair use rationale for a logo that was never the subject of copyright, and stopped being in use in the early 2000s. - About the image, I'm pretty sure the first license tag is not correct. This is a trademarked logo, not merely a geometric shape. It would have to be something as simple as a circle or pyramid to fall under that exception. By that reason, this image couldn't be used for TFA, since it would be "fair use" (even though it can be used in the article). Ergo Sum 01:43, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- The logo is fairly simplistic in terms of US law, so PD-textlogo (which it currently has) might be correct, be it trademarked or not. However, in that case, the file should be moved to Commons. Otherwise, the pic should be exchanged.
- Comment As noted above, there should be more links and game titles should be in italics, just like in the article. Additionally, the image caption appears superfluous, and "Infogrames Entertainment SA" can be simplified to "Infogrames". Regards, IceWelder [✉] 08:49, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
