Redundancy with Template:Presidents of South Korea. North Korean leaders already have their own templates as well (e.g. Template:Kim Il Sung). Also, the scope of this template seems too broad; Korea has been unified for over a thousand years, so if anything this should also list all the Korean monarchs. Maybe if it said "post-Korean Empire" it'd work, but that'd still be too broad to be useful imo. toobigtokale (talk) 04:20, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This may be too bold of a step, but I think it may be time for these templates to be deprecated, removed from pages, and then deleted. Their only purpose is to collapse sections of route diagram templates. I think that this collapsing goes against MOS:DONTHIDE, a guideline.

Also, I was unable to find an instance of these templates that worked correctly in the mobile site, which famously does not support collapsing of sections. For example, compare {{Belgium line 50A diagram}} (desktop version) with Template:Belgium line 50A diagram (mobile version). The mobile version's track in the expanded section is not aligned correctly.

A worse mobile view is Template:West Coast Wilderness Railway, in which the text "Norton Street" has the text above it superimposed on it.

I recommend that we simply remove the collapsing from all of these diagrams so that the diagrams are fully visible to all readers and editors, including mobile readers. – Jonesey95 (talk) 02:45, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Replace and delete. Collapsible sections in RDTs are a feature, not a bug - they're a reasonable way to prioritize information. These BS-map collapsible templates need to go, though. They've always been buggy, don't work properly on mobile, and exacerbate the various issues with the BS series of templates. The templates containing these collapsible sections should be converted to {{Routemap}}, which does not have these flaws. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 22:49, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
