Looking for Mr. Goodbar name

I didn't see a description of the reference to the candy bar. Was one found at the murder scene and assumed to have been the property of the murderer ? StuRat (talk) 00:40, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

In the novel, it was the name of the bar where the protagonist meets her murderer ([1]). I can't find any connection to the real-life murder of Roseann Quinn. The real-life bar was named W. M. Tweeds. -- BenRG (talk) 03:09, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

The form "Looking for..." followed by the name of a pub or candy bar doesn't make much sense to me. That would imply there was some problem locating the pub or candy bar. Does it have some other meaning in 1970's slang, like "a sexually virile man" ? StuRat (talk) 16:41, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

I wouldn't rule it out, but it seems to be a pun on the candy and "good [pickup] bar". Several years before the book, in Blazing Saddles, and increasingly annoyed Hedley Lamarr (Harvey Korman) says, "I'm tired of being Mr. Goodbar!" Do any of you have suggestions for the title of my book series

Hello, wikipedians i`m an aspiring novelist who plans on writing a book series about a real-life justice league organization in which the members are real historical figures instead of fictional characters the series which will be set in and involve historical figures of the 1960`s. Tread lightly here, please. There have been several of these type of stories already written using fictional characters. Philip José Farmer with his Wold Newton family series. Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill did it with The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. However, if you want a start with real historical figures, you can watch Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to get some idea how to go about it. Follow up questions to my tv and movie questions

1. I should been more clear about lgbt characters in aimated movies or series. I'm looking for characters in family orietnted programs. Family Guy and Simpasons are adult cartoons.

2. If actress Holly Marie Combs was born in San Diego but move to New York City at 7, is she more of San Diegan or new Yorker?

I disagree. In our early years we often don't even know what city we live in, much less have any identification with it. When does that age end ? I don't know, but studies could certainly be done to nail it down, so it is an answerable Q. As for this specific example, the biggest contrast between San Diego and New York City, at least from a child's POV, is probably the weather and the presence of a beach good for swimming (while NYC is on the coast, you can't often go swimming there). So, does she now like warm weather and swimming at the beach or not ? StuRat (talk) 16:51, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

For question 1, Have a look through list of LGBT characters in animation and graphic art. Whether any meet your criteria depends on which you consider to be family-oriented (some are definitely not), and how clear you want it to be that they are LGBT. Warofdreams talk 00:34, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

National Anthem of Northern Ireland (soccer)

I have a question about the national anthem, played in the ceremony before the football matches, of Northern Ireland national football team. Northern Ireland remains a somewhat divided community. Both nationalists and unionists have songs that they would regard as their anthems - but using the official UK anthem is a compromise that avoids possible conflicts.
