Lilac teams edit

Is there any teams in any team sports which have lilac or purple uniforms? I'm especially interested in football, American football, bandy, and ice hockey. Lilac pig (talk) 08:03, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Orlando City SC for starters. I found that by Googling "purple uniforms soccer".--Shantavira|feed me 10:45, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Minnesota Vikings have purple uniforms; their defense was once known as the "Purple People Eaters". --Xuxl (talk) 11:05, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, too often the Vikings play as if they were one-eyed and one-horned. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 16:36, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Baltimore Ravens use purple as an accent color. The sports teams of the East Carolina University, Clemson University, Northwestern University, Louisiana State University, the University of Washington, and Texas Christian University use purple as a color. The Colorado Avalanche uses purple in the NHL.
Google "purple uniforms" and you'll find lots of examples. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 16:38, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In European Soccer, ACF Fiorentina in Italy play in purple. --Nicknack009 (talk) 17:10, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Here is a list of teams that wear purple. The pic at the bottom looks like lilac. MarnetteD|Talk 17:17, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Swedish hockey team Färjestad BK has played in purple uniforms for many years, even if the club colours are green and white. This was because the team was sponsored by coffee brand Löfbergs lila. Dammråtta (talk) 23:21, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Los Angeles Kings have had purple uniforms at various points in their history (you can see them all here). In the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers have a purple uniform (Logos and uniforms of the Los Angeles Lakers), as do the Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Hornets, and Phoenix Suns. The Toronto Raptors used to wear purple but don't currently. Adam Bishop (talk) 13:45, 30 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Orphan Black: acquaintance matrix edit

I recently caught up on Orphan Black and am scratching my head over two points:

  • How does Delphine know Siobhan?
  • Is Dyad aware of Helena?

Thanks. —Tamfang (talk) 08:24, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't get an answer here, there are a few places that do recaps of each episode [1] [2], you might find your answers searching through there. Wikia also has a lively wiki on the show [3] that may resolve the issues, or you can ask at their comment/talk sections. If the answers are easy, they should come quickly, but I'm not sure they have definitive canonical answers. SemanticMantis (talk) 17:11, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't people do telenovelas in Australia and North America? 140.254.136.157 (talk) 18:19, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Because they don't? There are similar programs to telenovelas called soap operas in both Australia and North America (U.S./Canada). Also, at least two U.S. TV networks show Telenovelas, Univision and Telemundo, also see Telenovela#United States and Telenovela#Canada so your premise is wrong. --Jayron32 19:27, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Venues at this year's world championship of bandy edit

How many venues will be used at the 2016 Bandy World Championship? The sources and other language versions of Wikipedia are a bit inconclusive, they give different answers. Snowsuit Wearer (talk|contribs) 23:31, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Does their official website not have that information? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 09:15, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Y'see, instead of asking that, you could – and should – have gone to the official website yourself and found that information for him. That's what we do around here. I did it myself and found that there will be two venues, Volga Sport Arena and Trud Stadium. As for when this person will stop asking questions about bandy, your guess is as good as mine. --Viennese Waltz 09:58, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for shooting at both OP and responder here. Maybe you missed the recent talk page discussion that it's not appropriate to attack other users here. Or maybe you don't care. P.S. The external link for the official site is in the article and the venues are also in the article - which the OP linked to.Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 11:09, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
