sunday morning beiber tragity need to know or just hope's myth

My friend hope clames to have read online that Justin beiber died on sunday morning after falling 6 storries out of the radecin inn hotel in germany, and did not survive. She says that he was looking out the window to see someone in the parking lot, and the window was opened. He leaned over toof ar and fell out. He was found on sunday morning and was pronounced dead after the fall. How will justin's parents deal with this? shoulden't Need to know have a special on this, what will the annoying beiber feaver people do? Note that i don't like justin, I'm just asking this to confirm what hope read and to get her off my back. Nope, there is zero news on Bieber's death, so it's (and this is a technical term) bullshit. The internet tends to pick up stuff like this real fast, and the only story on Bieber is the continuing coverage of that "laser tag" incident: [1]. --Jayron32 02:41, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

How can i tel if hope found it online or if she just made it up herself, i mean she was at the computer, where did she read this 'sunday morning ' insadent? Even though i hate beaber, i can say this for him: it's not fair to make up that kind of stuff about him, it could effect his loved ones(selena is not his girlfriend, it's just an act). Please identify this music

Hello.

I'm trying to identify the music I recorded here and I'm hoping the people that read this could help.

I've heard a longer version than the 1 minute snippet here, and I'm trying to find it.

I would appreciate it if I could at least know the name of it, or even better, if I could know how to obtain the longer version somehow.

During the summer I saw a video where the singer (a pretty female with long, dark hair) is shown on a beach and at the end is rescued by a good-looking lifeguard. Does anyone know the name of the singer and song? Thank you. Michael Douglas - Was his career "sidelined..for three years" by an accident

At Michael_Douglas#Personal life this article says:

"In 1980, Douglas was involved in a serious skiing accident which sidelined his acting career for three years. In September 1992, the same year Basic Instinct came out, he underwent treatment for alcoholism and drug addiction at Sierra Tucson Center."

I was looking for a reference for the skiing accident and can't find anything concrete. There is mention of a past skiing accident for which he eventually had a knee replacement in 1999. No "sidelined for three years". The mention of his "alcoholism and drug addiction" only appears in this section. It is all unreferenced, and has been in there at least 2 years. I found an (syndicated) interview from 2006: Goodridge, Mike (2006-04-13). "I'd rather be a good dad than a big star again". Evening Standard. Retrieved 20 October 2010. which has "A sideways move into producing, initially on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in 1975, enabled him to cast himself in meatier big-screen roles, starting with The China Syndrome in 1979, then - after an earlier three-year career break necessitated by a serious skiing accident in 1980 - in Romancing the Stone in 1984 and its 1985 sequel, Jewel of the Nile....He was treated for alcohol abuse then, allegedly, for sex addiction". A slightly different version summarises:

"1980-1983: BAD YEARS Skiing accident keeps him from acting for three years.

1992-2000: BAD YEARS Treated for alcohol abuse and alleged sex addiction (1992)."(Goodridge, Mike (2006-04-13). "My 3 years as a house-husband". Evening Standard. Retrieved 20 October 2010.)

Thank you for the reply and links, Kateshortforbob. I certainly 'Googled' and found information on this scarce/non-existent. I am surprised that the text has apparently never been challenged, considering the BLP issues WP has had. The first link, directly to the London Evening Standard article, does mention 3 years not working as a result of a "ski-ing accident". The 2nd link still gives very few details. The original was updated on "13.04.06", which raises the possibilty that it originated on Wikipedia. I cannot see/find the the original publishing date. I will have to investigate when the "serious skiing accident which sidelined his acting career for three years" appeared in the WP article. It may be bogus! Also, Douglas appears to have had two 3 year carreer breaks ('80-83, '03-'06). Found it! 210.10.180.109 (talk · contribs) added both the 'accident' and ' alcohol treatment' here at 08:21, 24 November 2004. Almost 6 years without a source! So it pre-dates the newspaper articles. Yes, I was a bit concerned, but didn't have the time to follow up at work. There is a distinct possibility that the interviewer got his background information from Wikipedia, although I would like to think that Douglas' "people" would have chased him for a retraction if it was untrue. I searched Nexis for Michael Douglas + skiing + accident + career and this was the only relevant article, apart from a very brief piece in the Hindustan Times which also mentioned the skiing accident. I did a further search, and found an editorial in the Independent (Is King Kong bound for the Palace roof?, Lynn Barber, 27 September 1992) which says,

"THE CURSE of Hello! strikes again, but in an interesting new form. A few weeks ago the magazine featured Michael Douglas and his wife Diandra showing off their holiday house in Majorca. In fact they showed off the house so much it looked like an estate agent's ad, and I wondered in my cynical way if the couple were splitting and selling up. Sure enough, the Sun revealed this week that Michael Douglas is being treated in a clinic for sex addiction after his wife caught him in bed with one of her best friends. A clinic for sex addiction! Whatever next? It is called the Sierra Tucson Centre in Arizona and officially Douglas is in there for drink and drug problems but really he is being treated for sex addiction."

I have to be honest though, news gotten second-hand from the Sun wouldn't be my first choice for verifying a BLP. There is also an article from the Hobart Mercury (?) which has, "Michael Douglas, the star of the recent psycho-sexual thriller Basic Instinct, is so afflicted by his sex drive that he reportedly admitted himself to an Arizona clinic for therapy...At a Tuscon rehabilitation centre where Douglas is reported to be taking part in a 90-day program with other addicts, he stood up and said; "I am a sex addict". Douglas blamed his insatiable sexual drive on drugs, alcohol and the negative images of women he was taught as a child." (Sex, the new designer addiction, Sandra Lee, 26 October 1992). Actually, now that I've changed the search terms (oops) to Michael Douglas + alcohol + addiction, there are a ton of sources on the addiction thing. The events reported in the Sun appear to be widely accepted as fact in the press in 1992-93. He apparently went public in 1994 with an interview in Vanity Fair, but said that he was, "a recovering addict: from alcohol, not sex. Douglas, who stars opposite Demi Moore in the sexual harassment drama "Disclosure," which opens Friday in Atlanta, said his roles in "Basic Instinct" and "Fatal Attraction" generated false reports of a sex addiction. "These characters were sexually driven," Douglas says. "The media got this great handle from the film and rode with it. I can't believe people are so titillated by this." Douglas added that he entered Arizona's Sierra Tucson clinic to deal with the effects of a "cumulative lifestyle" that included excessive drinking." I haven't managed to track down the original Vanity Fair article, but he recently did another interview for them to publicise the new Wall Street film, where he briefly mentions it [3]. Thank you 'Kateshortforbob'. I have actually removed the two relevant sentences. I hope I won't be accused by anyone of 'white-washing' as I care neither way. It is just that the statements were totally unsourced and had been since they were put into the article almost 6 years ago(!), (to my chagrin by an Australian editor as I also am) as the only edits from that IP. Indeed Douglas skied and in an interview said he had a knee replaced in 1999 as a result of a past skiing accident, but that's all I found on that subject. (My 'Google Fu' may be lacking)
I think a major problem may be the ski-ing event pre-dates the Internet, so a 1980 skii-ing accident may be a bit hard to locate. I also wonder if there is some confusion between Michael Douglas and his son, who I recall had addiction problems. He's a liberal – a word that has negative connotations in certain sections of American society, including probably biker culture. That's the most likely reason. I know a fair bit about Springsteen and I'm positive he has never said or done anything specific to antagonize Bikers. --Viennese Waltz 11:28, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

I would hesitate to assume that American bikers all have similar political views, and I would hesitate even further to guess that they are all anti liberal. Close inspection of the web page that the OP has linked reveals that the bar is actually located in Korea. Perhaps geography has something to do with the reason? (edit): Furthermore, I wouldn't base a solitary bar's web site statement forbidding the request of a certain artist to even begin to make a statement for any type of general culture. As far as we know, that statement could be a running joke of the establishment, as in perhaps the owner or bartender simply have a dislike for Springsteen.10draftsdeep (talk) 18:46, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Help with third party articles for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Silvers

I recently edited Dean Silvers page, and I was given "cookies" for providing accurate information, however a few days later the messages "This article needs references that appear in reliable third-party publications. Primary sources or sources affiliated with the subject are generally not sufficient for a Wikipedia article. Please add more appropriate citations from reliable sources. (May 2010)" appeared.

I am Dean Silvers' son (Forrest Silvers) and I am a part of his company, Dean Silvers Associates, and have been credited in all his films, I am reliable, third-party and I provided reliable, third-party citations from magazine articles on the page. What else can I do to get rid of that message at the top of the page?
