Collapsible Row in a Table

I know how to make a table that you can hide/collapse all the rows to hide them. But is it possible to create a table that has some main rows showing, but then upon clicking on individual rows, can expand those main rows into additional rows?

Here's a rough example of what I mean:

Name
Main Row #1 [show]
Hidden sub row that is only shown upon clicking "show" on the Main Row #1 row
Main Row #2 [show]
A hidden row that is only shown upon click "show" on the Main Row #2 row
A second hidden row that is only shown upon click "show" on the Main Row #2 row
Main Row #3 [show]
Hidden sub row that is only shown upon clicking "show" on the Main Row #3 row

I don't know whether it's possible for a single table. {{Navbox with collapsible groups}} does it by making consecutive unspaced tables. The above example is sortable but that wouldn't work with separate tables. It could also be difficult to align columns if there are rows with multiple columns. I don't know whether there is a non-navbox template similar to {{Navbox with collapsible groups}}. PrimeHunter (talk) 12:04, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

No. Entering a small example like the below at Special:ExpandTemplates may give an idea how the navbox works, but the rendered result may rely on definitions elsewhere of the used classes. PrimeHunter (talk) 23:23, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

File Split - Did I do this correctly

I recently conducted my first file split where the original file was located at "File:TowerBrook" and this was split into File:TowerBrook_purpleBorders.png and File:TowerBrook.png (the original name of the file before split). Could someone who has conducted such splits take a look at these two, and the notes I've added to the talk pages, and let me know if, in fact, they feel I've done this split correctly? I won't conduct additional splits until either a) I get confirmation that this went OK or b) some time has passed without a response so that I believe that there won't be a response. I have conducted what you call "file splits" on images. These have generally involved taking a map from Commons, modifying it e.g. by changing the language of the placenames, and uploading it with a new name. I have always aimed to give, in the copyright section, due credit to the creator of the original image. I have never regarded it as a "split", as nothing has been removed or changed in the original, as it is when an article is split.

What you have done looks fine to me. You haven't credited the creator of the original image; but you can't, because the original "has no author information", and anyway claims not to be copyrightable. Maproom (talk) 07:46, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

Create imagemap template

If you are asking about how to create a new template with a map and links to the different entities on the map, clicking the "edit" tab at either template reveals its inner mechanism:

An image is used for the visual (in that case File:Regions and Prefectures of Japan 2.svg). Over that image, regions are delimited by the "poly" and "rect" commands, which delimit clickable areas of the image and say where the associated link points to.

Atlas Consortium.....com vs. info

Your article fails to make a distinction between my corporation, Atlas Consortium (.com) and the conglomeration from England Atlas Consortium (.info). Can you fix this or do I have to address this through them. 14:32, 23 September 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.4.53.177 (talk)

Is any part of the article Atlas Consortium or other articles about the .com company? If not then there is no problem from Wikipedia's point of view. We have articles about some companies but not all. If we have no content about a subject then we don't mention that subject in an article about another subject with the same name. It's the same for companies, people, works, locations and so on. Almost everybody and everything has something else with the same name. Articles are written by Wikipedia editors and not the subjects of the articles. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:28, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

@Cowslip2017: If you head over to the article, you'll notice a little lock symbol at the upper-right corner of the page. This lock indicates that the page has been semi-protected; clicking it will take you to WP:SEMI, which explains what's going on. To put it simply, the article has been protected to prevent editing by unregistered and brand new users due to high levels of vandalism to the page. Your account will need to be autoconfirmed in order to edit it, which will happen automatically once your account is four days old and you've made ten edits to Wikipedia.

Now, you don't necessarily have to wait for the ability to edit the article. You can head over to the article's talk page and submit a request for another editor to edit the page for you. You may create a new section at the bottom of the talk page, specify what exactly you wish to change in the article, and then add {{edit semi-protected}} to your message to alert other editors that you've made a request. Even after you gain these abilities, or when the article is unprotected, you should probably go to the article's talk page to ask someone else to edit the article.  Seagull123  Φ  16:52, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

The OP has recognized that I am backsliding. See: User_talk:Aspro#Cliff_Taylor. So now, that I have been able to grab five hours of sleep, I have pulled my finger out to explain it myself: A single purpose promotional account meets the criteria for speedy deletion with the tag {{Template:Db-spamuser}} . The only contributions he has made is to articles, about productions in which he was involved – and just added his name. Many dozens are involved in productions but few are encyclopedically notable. Could someone explain to me how you hide some text and make it show something else? I know how to make a collapsible list but i would like to go one step further and do something like this in a diagram i'm working on:

I have replied on your user talk page too. You violated the policies on verifiability, there's no indication the company is notable enough for an article in the first place, and what you wrote read like an advertisement. Huon (talk) 23:24, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
