Proposed deletion of Whova

edit

Hello, Zhuoerwang. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Whova, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. - Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 00:08, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Whova

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Whova, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 04:33, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Draft

edit

Just post your draft here and let me know when you are ready Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:25, 18 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Some formatting issues first. I've done the headings but

  • to link to another wikipedia article just link with [[ ]] eg Los Angeles, not with a url
  • Format the external links like I've done the first one (note - only one company link to the main site permitted)
  • Sort out your references using <ref>[url name]</ref> at the appropriate point eg [1]. The {{reflist}} I've added will generate the list automatically as below

References

edit
  1. ^ BBC

It's looking much better. You could do with more links, eg Android, Linkedin, Google, and the technology section is problematic, since it is unsourced and makes claims that are not supported by good references The biggest challenge in people search ... entities. Whova leverages its advanced proprietary technology to attack this problem and allow users to easily and quickly...

When you are done, just use the "move button to return it to article space Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:12, 5 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Whova

edit

The article Whova has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability for this product. The "awards" are in fact business startup grants; there do not appear to be reliable third party sources attesting to its notability; very limited Google hits apart from promotional material.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andy (talk) 12:11, 21 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

July 2021

Hello, I'm Tedder. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Gettr seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. tedder (talk) 20:28, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Adding a personal note- it appears you may have a conflict of interest with Gettr. Please read WP:COI, especially how to disclose a COI. tedder (talk) 20:33, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Gettr, you may be blocked from editing. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 22:55, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Gettr. This was not a minor edit, and your edit does not acknowledge your apparent conflict of interest in any way. tedder (talk) 16:28, 28 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
